I opt for the mince pies with my hot chocolate.
Another good choice, given that they’ll soon be disappearing again for another nine months.

That yeller cake.
I’m not sure what yeller cake is. The one in the picture I think you’re referring to is Madeira cake. I hope it’s just as nice.
I think they all do… lol! Love your header, Hugh!
Thanks, I’m glad you like it, Erika. I only recently discovered that the theme I use allows one.
Very cool. I remember when WordPress had this lovely snowfall going on the posts it was turned on during December. I lked that.
That’s available again this year, Erika. It can be switched on under the settings area of your blog’s dashboard.
It is so funny. I commented it on your post and the next post I read had the snowflakes falling 😄already turned on 👍
Sadly, one of the “challenges” of getting older for me is that I can’t take too many sweets at one time. So, can I order a hot chocolate and a plain croissant, or how about a coffee and a slice of lemon bread?
You can, although I didn’t see any lemon bread. There were some savoury slices, though.
You’re mean – why just one?! That’s so hard – but I’ll go with the cup cake, please. Thank you, Hugh 😊
You’re welcome, Esther. Given the number I am buying, it’s one each for now.
Gosh Hugh such a hard choice … But if I can only pick one …. It has to be the mince tarts at the front 💜💜💜
Good choice, Willow, given that mince pies will soon disappear again until September.
i know and I love mince pies 💜💜💜
Hot chocolate and cinnamon roll, please. :) I’m already tasting it!
Those are Pain aux raisins, but they are just as tasty as cinnamon rolls.
WOW, hot chocolate and a raisin bread for me please and thank you.

My entry for today Christmas Festive Season
You’re welcome, Esme.
Are the pastries on the right-hand side called “Cinnamon Rolls,” Hugh? I think that’s my choice, despite the fact I probably got the name wrong! LOL Cher xoxoxo
Those are pain au raisin, Cher. It’s one of my favourites for breakfast at the weekend. I like mine warned-up.
Oh are they, Hugh? Yes, I think I’d like mine warmed-up, too! It certainly looks like a tasty and hearty breakfast at the weekend, Hugh! Cher xoxoxo
Hot chocolate and a cupcake, please,
Coming up.
Hubby will have a mince tart and I’ll have a chocolate muffin.
Your order has been taken and is on its way.
Thanks! I actually did some Christmas baking today so I’ll send some your way.
Thank you. What did you bake, Darlene?
Pineapple cornbread muffins, salted caramel blondies, and Tahini chocolate chunk cookie squares. I like trying different things although the muffins are old standbys.
I’d love to have been in your house with all that baking. I’d even have helped wash up for a couple of those.
The dogs did offer to lick the bowls!
Anything chocolate to add to the cocoa goodness, Hugh! Great shot of the pastries…just in time for breakfast today…coffee and oatmeal :b
Oh, I’m a porridge breakfast guy, Terri. It’s my go-to breakfast every weekday, with a sprinkling of blueberries and a sliced banana. The odd treats like these cakes and pastries occur only on special days.
Mince pie. Any other answer is the musings of a sick mind.
In December mince pie outranks any other culinary choice, especially if it’s the ones in that photo.
From what you say, I think you like mince pies, Paul? I’m with you on that. I like mine with a blob of brandy sauce on top.
I’ll have a cupcake, please.
One of those has your name on it, Dan.
Oh that’s a tough one, Hugh. If those tarts in the front were Canadian butter tarts, they would win hands down! But mince tarts? No thank you! I think I’d have to choose the cupcakes with the white icing.
Yes, those are mince pies, Michelle. I like them served warm with a blob of brandy butter. The snowman cakes looked nice. I was tempted but went with a pastry.
👌😁✅
Yum. I’m in. Not sure, I think they all go with hot chocolate … but I’m willing to test them all out
That’s a great answer, Brenda. A little bit of everything does no harm, especially at Christmas time.
I was also trying to see if it was a coffee chain 😆
This kiosk was in Lapland, but the UK version of Lapland in Ascot. What a magical place it was.
Should definitely all work with hot chocolate
