What an incredible shot, Hugh! How perfect is the reflection especially with all the lines!
It’s the first time I took a photo like this, flipped it, and scratched my head as to which way up the photo looks best, Terri.
That’s a very good problem to have, Hugh!
I don’t think you were standing on your head… haha. Is it a reflection or did you photoshop the picture?
I cheated. I used the WordPress photo editing tools to flip the photo.
You did very good at that! It was fun pondering about the image, Hugh 😄
You got me! Amazing pictures – mine are just a little silly https://jttwissel.com/2023/11/15/dont-talk-back-wordlesswednesday/
But yours are much funnier.
Hugh, Sorry still wanted to add to my previous comment, and invite you and your followers to come and also share your WW links at

Thanks, Esme. I love your Wordless Wednesday link ups.
Thanks Hugh, glad to have you there as well
That would be a disaster should I try it as I may just end up in hospital for that stunt.

Same here, Esme. That’s why I used the WordPress photo editing tool and flipped the photo. I know, I cheated.
No problem in doing that once in a while and then admitting it. Great shot anyway, upside down nevertheless. Love it
Wonderful reflections, Hugh!
Thanks, Colleen.
You’re welcome, Hugh. I hope all is well with you.
No, never even thought about it 😄 I’ve taken a photo with my phone upside down but I love how you flipped this one!
Thanks, Cathy.
I’d never stand on my head to take a photo at my time of life, although I used to be able to stand on my head and walk on my hands.
great photo, Hugh :)
Thank you, LL.
The blood would rush to my head and I’d probably pass out! But this is fantastically flipped. Hard to tell which way is up!
I don’t recommend standing on your head to take photos. It’s much easier to flip them using the photo editing tools WordPress offer.
Thumbs up! (not upside down)
Here’s one where I tried that:
That’s excellent. It’s hard to tell which one is the right way up.
“Right side up” depends on the vantage point 😀. For normal situation standing on one’s feet, the image is upside down. I have obtained this scenario several times – but instead of standing on my head, I just rotated the image which is what I believe you did too 😉. My entry here:
Ahh, you got me. Yes, I used the WordPress photo editing tools to flip the photo. I would never attempt taking a photo while standing on my head. Not at my age, anyway.
I like the mirrored reflection of the photo… kinda like if the characters on “Inception” went for a fishing trip :) I’ve never taken a photo while standing on my head. Sounds difficult! Would holding your phone upside down also work?
I guess it would, Dave. I’ll have to give it a go. I’ll let you into a secret and tell you that I was not standing on my head when I took this photo, although it felt like I was. I used some of the WordPress photo editing tools to flip the photo.
Your secret is safe with me — I won’t tell a soul :)
Good one, Hugh! Funny. I love reflections. :)
Me too, Liesbet. I’m a big fan of reflections.
What a brilliant photo Hugh. It’s making me dizzy looking at it. What I also like is the water looks like glass that I think its hard to tell what is real and what is reflection. It really does feel like a mirror image.
Yes, the reflections in the water help make the photo rather baffling, Brenda. Of course, I wasn’t really standing on my head when I took the photo. If I’d done that, I’d have ended up on hospital. I just flipped it with the WordPress photo software. But I rather like the effect.
🤦♀️ embarrassed to say that option never even occurred to me, lol. I did think you were brave hanging about, dangling by your feet 😆
Lol, can you imagine the looks I would have got, Brenda? I used to be able to walk on my hands too. But that was a very long time ago.
Well that’s a conundrum!
Do you think you may give it a try?
If I’m feeling dextrous… And if I have someone to hold my legs! 😂
That’s sensible to have somebody hold your legs. That’s what I do.
Can’t say that I have ever had the pleasure… This one? Makes me dizzy studying it. (lol)
Lol. That what happens when you take a photo standing on your head too. Always best to have someone hold on to you while taking the photo.
No, I haven’t and I’m sure how to do that either :)
If you do try it, make sure you got somebody to hold on to your legs while you take the photo.
