    Wonderful reflections, Hugh!

You’re welcome, Hugh. I hope all is well with you.

  2. Cathy avatar

No, never even thought about it 😄 I’ve taken a photo with my phone upside down but I love how you flipped this one!

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

      Thanks, Cathy.

I’d never stand on my head to take a photo at my time of life, although I used to be able to stand on my head and walk on my hands.

  3. noelleg44 avatar

The blood would rush to my head and I’d probably pass out! But this is fantastically flipped. Hard to tell which way is up!

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

I don’t recommend standing on your head to take photos. It’s much easier to flip them using the photo editing tools WordPress offer.

      1. noelleg44 avatar

        Thumbs up! (not upside down)

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

That’s excellent. It’s hard to tell which one is the right way up.

“Right side up” depends on the vantage point 😀. For normal situation standing on one’s feet, the image is upside down. I have obtained this scenario several times – but instead of standing on my head, I just rotated the image which is what I believe you did too 😉. My entry here:

Have You Ever Taken A Photo While Standing On Your Head? #WordlessWednesday #Photography

Ahh, you got me. Yes, I used the WordPress photo editing tools to flip the photo. I would never attempt taking a photo while standing on my head. Not at my age, anyway.

  6. Dave Williams avatar

I like the mirrored reflection of the photo… kinda like if the characters on “Inception” went for a fishing trip :) I’ve never taken a photo while standing on my head. Sounds difficult! Would holding your phone upside down also work?

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

I guess it would, Dave. I’ll have to give it a go. I’ll let you into a secret and tell you that I was not standing on my head when I took this photo, although it felt like I was. I used some of the WordPress photo editing tools to flip the photo.

      1. Dave Williams avatar

Your secret is safe with me — I won’t tell a soul :)

Good one, Hugh! Funny. I love reflections. :)

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

Me too, Liesbet. I’m a big fan of reflections.

  8. Brenda avatar

What a brilliant photo Hugh. It’s making me dizzy looking at it. What I also like is the water looks like glass that I think its hard to tell what is real and what is reflection. It really does feel like a mirror image.

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

Yes, the reflections in the water help make the photo rather baffling, Brenda. Of course, I wasn’t really standing on my head when I took the photo. If I’d done that, I’d have ended up on hospital. I just flipped it with the WordPress photo software. But I rather like the effect.

      1. Brenda avatar

🤦‍♀️ embarrassed to say that option never even occurred to me, lol. I did think you were brave hanging about, dangling by your feet 😆

        1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

Lol, can you imagine the looks I would have got, Brenda? I used to be able to walk on my hands too. But that was a very long time ago.

  9. Ritu avatar

    Well that’s a conundrum!

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

Do you think you may give it a try?

      1. Ritu avatar

If I’m feeling dextrous… And if I have someone to hold my legs! 😂

        1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

That’s sensible to have somebody hold your legs. That’s what I do.

  10. Annette Rochelle Aben avatar

Can’t say that I have ever had the pleasure… This one? Makes me dizzy studying it. (lol)

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

Lol. That what happens when you take a photo standing on your head too. Always best to have someone hold on to you while taking the photo.

  12. Hammad Rais avatar

No, I haven’t and I’m sure how to do that either :)

    1. Hugh W. Roberts avatar

If you do try it, make sure you got somebody to hold on to your legs while you take the photo.
