  1. Ooops! Did you have fun dressing the Christmas tree, Hugh? Love the new – temporary – header of your website as well. I see that someone is truly in the holiday spirit! You are one special human! :)

    1. My partner always dresses the tree, Liesbet. However, I build the tree and help with putting on the lights. He always does a great job. I may rearrange some of the ornaments when he’s out of the room. He never notices.

  2. Great idea to donate ones that aren’t used any longer, Hugh! Your ornament is beautiful and I’m certain Santa has his brand of magic to always be able to leave the gifts. Have a beautiful Christmas 🎄

  3. That is an awesome and amusing ornament, I only had the urge to climb into a chimney once in my life. I was 8 years old and my dad took me to see the movie “Mary Poppins”. When I saw all those chimney sweeps popping out of chimneys and dancing on the roof it did look like a whole lot of fun. Luckily we lived in an apartment house so my mom did not have to worry about me actually trying to get into a chimney.

    1. That’s a cute story. As a child, I remember looking up the chimney to see any signs of Santa. My father sometimes would leave bits of cotton wool at the bottom to convince me that Santa had been there. When the chimney sweep came to clean the chimney, I was always afraid that his brush would dislodge Santa. I used to believe he lived up the chimney.

  4. Um, I’ll let the professional handle this one, Hugh 🤣 Is this ornament from the Old World European shop? There’s one here in Spokane that’s open 2 months out of the year. My SIL took me there a few weeks ago. You would love it! These types of hand made glass ornaments are everywhere. You can walk in, grab a box and select what you want to buy. I believe they’re handmade in Germany.

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and joyful holiday, Hugh! ✨️🎄🎅

    1. I picked this ornament up online from a very well-known store here in the UK, Terri. It’s about 10 years old. I’ve been instructed not to buy more Christmas decorations because we’ve run out of storage space. However, I donated many Christmas ornaments to a local charity shop last week so they could bring pleasure to the new owners and raise some money for good causes. Now, I’ve more room to fill in those Christmas storage cupboards. And the Christmas sales have already started.

Merry Christmas to you and the family, Terri. I hope nobody gets stuck on the roof on Christmas Eve.

  5. That’s a very good question, Hugh! I’m not sure what I’d do. Do I interrupt Santa, or do I help him? Or, is that the REAL Santa? I’m afraid I’ve only made matters worse with all of my questions, Hugh! LOL

    1. If you hear someone calling for help, you should help him, but be careful when climbing the roof. I think it is better to call the Fire Department, Cher. Don’t be getting any broken bones for Christmas.

    1. I haven’t seen that movie yet, but I hope to during the holidays. I also watched a great film called Single All The Way, which was very funny. I watched it twice because I enjoyed it so much.

I hope Santa does not get stuck, but given all the treats left out for him, I think somebody will likely call the fire department.
