  1. it is 28 October and I am still prepping. I put up the outside lights and this evening I worked on the treats: penny sweets in plastic cauldrons and ghost bags for the bigger ones. The “A” list get Charms and Chuckles tied in orange purple and black pipe cleaners. More to go !

    1. Wow! I wish I was trick or treating at your house. I just pour a load of chocolates into a bowl and let the visitors help themselves. I’ve plenty in so as not to run out of treats. And any leftover I get to eat.

  2. When my sons were young, I enjoyed Halloween, but now I can take it or leave it. I have noticed that in France, it is becoming increasingly popular and commercial.

I love fairy lights so I think your ghostly lights are fabulous!

    1. Yes, Halloween has become more popular and commercial in the UK, June. It produces a lot of money for the economy, so that can’t be bad.
I’m glad you like my ghost lights. They are battery-operated and still working after three years.

  3. We live in an over 55 community so Halloween is not a big deal, but it was when my kids were young. Lots of waffling over costumes, which I ended up making! Love the little ghosts!

    1. I bet it was fun making Halloween costumes. The shops seem full of readymade ones these days, but that takes the fun out of making your own. I used to put on a white shirt, bowtie, and black trousers and cover the shirt in fake blood, as well as put some coming out of my mouth.

      1. Ugh, but effective. Our kids went as witches, ghosts, cowboys, princesses, grasshoppers (this one was hard to make). Sometimes I would roam the Salvation Army store for something I could re-make. Saved on buying fabric.

    1. I’m sure you’ll enjoy those decorations, Terri. I put a few Halloween decorations up inside the house every year, although nobody from outside may see them. I think it all adds to the fun.

    1. I had to look it up, but I have heard of ‘Day of the Dead.’ I think it featured in the opening of one of the more recent James Bond movies.
      Enjoy the celebrations, Janis.

  4. I’ve never actually seen a ghost but I have felt something eerie and heard things. Cute little ghosties! I am an autumn person so I love everything about the season.

  5. Not a Halloween person, did not grow up with it and only got fully introduced to it when we arrived in Canada. Some people go totally overboard, but love those ghost lights
My contribution this week, Diehard Flowers and I invite all to come and share your WW at ES #49 WW

      1. Thanks so much for participating and sharing your post at #49 #WW (Words welcome).  See you Wednesday at #50
