  1. This is such a cool picture, Hugh. I also love that you give a bit more information about Wordless Wednesday. Little hints fun, too. Great post, Hugh.

    1. Hi Carol anne, I always add the description of photos and images to the Alt-Text box on my posts. My understanding is that it helps those with a sight impediment. I’m sorry it hasn’t worked. However, the description for this Wordless Wednesday photos is ‘Photo of a kitchen window with a vase of sunflowers and other objects being reflected back on a dark surface.’ I hope that helps.

  2. That’s a very cool reflection, Hugh. When I saw your blog post in my inbox, I thought it would be a photo of a reflection in water. My most recent reflective photo was of the dome of an old church reflected into the window of a modern high rise building in Salta, Argentina. :)

    1. Thank you, Liesbet. I’ve got lots of photos of reflections in water, but the reflection in this post went straight to the top of my favourites when I saw it. The reflection you described sounds amazing. I hope to see it in one of your upcoming posts.

  3. That is a fantastic reflection, The colors are so vivid and bright as if a window has appeared in the gleaming tabletop. I love trying to take photos that show reflections. Among my favorites which I took on the street I used to live on in Riga, Latvia was during the winter and in a partially melted puddle made from snow you could clearly see the house that stood right nearby.

    1. Thank you.

I’m a keen photographer of reflections, too. I find them fascinating – almost like a glimpse into another parallel world. Please feel free to share a photo of your favourite reflection.

    1. I look forward to seeing those photos you took, Esme. I’m guessing they are of reflections?
I’ll check out your entry soon. Do you get damselflies as well as dragonflies where you live?

      1. Hugh, Yes we do, but I am not the smart to distinguish them. Thanks so much for participating and sharing at #18 InLinkz #WordlessWednesday (Words are also welcome).  See you again next week!

    1. That window only looks over to a fence, but we have some climbing plants on it that flower for most of the year apart from the winter months, Colleen. I can see the sky above the fence though.

  4. Hugh I do love this photo , I have some reflective photos of our kitchen too … Sometimes the reflections are so clear.

I also have some lovely reflections in water and puddles 💜💜

        1. Yes, those yellow sunflowers certainly give the reflection a kick, don’t they? That’s what I liked best about the reflection I was witnessing when taking the photo.

  5. I love reflections, Hugh, and I feature them often on my blog. I’m not sure I could choose a favorite. This one that you’ve shared here is very pretty. I like it a lot.

    1. Why did you say that? What makes them nice effects? Is it a particular item or is it the light in the photo. Feedback is great for authors and photographers when leaving comments. The more the better. Thank you.
