I think this snowman wants to eat his scarf. LOL
I hope not, Marsha. He’d be too cold.
It might upset his tummy, too! :) xxx
What a handsome snowman, Hugh. I think he is quite dapper and my name for him is Sir Robert.
Robert has been suggest suggest twice, Eugi. However, Sir Robert is a first.
He is cute, Hugh. He looks a bit like a Robert to me. Don’t ask me why!
Thank you.
Maybe because my surman is Roberts?
Oh, yes! Maybe subconscious thought. But someone mentioned his rusty hat, so maybe Rusty?
Good one. Let’s hope the rust does not spread.
Well, I’m going to call him Fraser Fir. I’d like to think he was carved out from on old Christmas tree.
That’s a lovely idea, Kevin. I like the idea of him being carved from a Christmas tree.

I have to say that when I first saw him, the name ‘Brian’ came to mind! I have no idea why! he’s very cute, though.
Brian, as the name for my snowman, has me chuckling, Esther.
Glad it made you laugh, Hugh 😊
Woody!
#apologies
A popular choice.
I love that handsome wooden snowman and no matter what, he is still a snowman by just his looks. Meaning that one could say that a snowman is not a snowman if he isn’t made out of snow but why does he have to be? As long as you can look at him and recognize him as a snowman,
Oh, he is certainly referred to as a snowman in our house. I only wish I had bought his two slightly larger brothers when I purchased him many years back. He doesn’t look lonely, though, does he?
No, he looks like he is eager to meet anyone who passes by him,
Good. He seems to keep good company with the other festive decorations.
For sure not ‘frosty’ but ‘woody’ indeed.
Come and share at ES #56 #WordlessWednesday
This week I share with you all the Flying Fish
Thanks, Esme.
He looks like a Jules to me, Hugh. I have a friend who’s nickname is Woody, but I guess that’s too obvious. Wasn’t there a character in Toy Story with the name Woody as well? Anyway, I’d take your snowman over a real and temporary one any time. :)
Yes, Woody was one of the main characters in Toy Story, Liesbet. Those are great movies, even for us grown-ups. There may even have been a Mr Frosty in Toy Story. Or was Mr Frosty in Ghostbusters? One way or the other, Mr Frosty is now implanted in my mind.
A very handsome wooden snowman, Hugh! I love it! In German its Schneemann (snow) or Holzmann (wood). “Do you want to build a snowman…?” Recalling the song from Frozen. I’m in a festive mood and you know why :)
I’ll admit now that I’ve never seen Frozen, Terri. Don’t tell my Great Niece, as she thinks I have, but I fell asleep while watching it. She’s ‘Frozen’ crazy and loves the movie so much. I also sent her and her mum and dad to see the musical in London’s Westend. She didn’t stop talking about it for weeks. Of course, she also has some of the costumes from the movie.
I think it was on Netflix, Hugh. You could stream it and take naps in between. The music is fun! 😅❄️
I have a feeling it’ll be on over the Christmas holidays, Terri. And as I’m spending Christmas with my Great Niece, I’m sure she will insist we watch it.
Hugh, as soon as I saw this photo I immediately thought, “Cornelius!” I have no idea why, but that’s what came to me in a flash! Cher xoxoxo
I’m glad that name came to you because I love it, Cher. That’s my favourite name for him so far.
Now didn’t you make my entire week! Thank you so much, Hugh! Cher xoxoxo
Henry. He looks like a Henry! Love him!
Thank you. The only Henry I know is a hoover. Oh, and Henry the VIII. That makes two.
We once had a huge philodendron that lived inside. She was Phyllis.
That has just made me chuckle. I love it.
woody.
I thought that name might be suggested.
I agree with Cathy. He’s so cute, and will last longer
He’ll probably outlive me, Brenda, even if he is wearing a rusty top hat.
He looks colder than the ones made out of snow.
I think the rusty top hat makes him feel cold, Dan.
When he’s a woodman 😉 He’s cute regardless, Hugh.
Correct, Cathy. I think he’s cute, too. I bought him several years ago and wish I’d bought the two slightly bigger versions.
