Omigosh! How cute, Hugh! People pay dearly for those type items where I live. We don’t have a garden, however, we have a balcony with a lot of plants, and an artsy item or two would add a lot of charm.
Your balcony sounds amazing, Eugi. At least you do have some outside space to enjoy.
My hubby grows spider plants and sells them. Our balcony is his pride and joy and he does a great job in making it look nice. We like to sit outside and enjoy nature, especially when the weather is cooler.
Super cute and artsy. Would love to have one, but no garden! Or, let’s clarify, not my garden.
Hope to see it at ES #41 #WordlessWednesday and my entry for this week: Abbotsford Airshow
Thanks, Esme.
You and my cousin should get together. She upcycles a lot of stuff. So much that she opened up her very own store to sell the stuff.
After reading a few comments, I see that you didn’t make it and your hopeless at that stuff. LOL!
That’s good to hear. Well done for upcycling stuff that would otherwise end up in landfills. I hope the shop is a huge success.
Cutest sheep ever just right for a garden. Made me think of the CCR song Lookin’ Out My Back Door and all they see,
Not one I know, but I’ll check it out. I may know it when I hear it.
That’s so cute, I love it! Did you put it together, Hugh?
Oh, no, it came like that, Cathy. I’m hopeless at putting things together. My six-year-old great-niece is great at putting things together. She’d have done a great job assembling it had it needed to be.
I’ve always fancied being a bit arty but I’m hopeless at that sort of thing too.
I’m much better at making Christmas cards and decorations and hallowing out pumpkins, Cathy.
Making Christmas cards is a good skill, Hugh. I imagine you save a lot of money too.
How adorable, Hugh! I can’t recall any strange garden objects at the moment, Hugh. However, friends of mine back in Canada put “eyes” on a tree near their garden. I do believe they were thinking about the forest in the Wizard of Oz. LOL
What a great idea, Cher. These would be great for Halloween, especially if they were made from illuminated material.
Oooh, what a brilliant idea, Hugh!!
That’s gorgeous! I’d love one of those. We recently had our garden done, but haven’t had the chance to get much for it. Perhaps next year. I’ll keep a look out in the sales!
Garden sales are in full swing in our part of the world, Esther (dare I say before the Christmas displays come out). You may pick up some great bargains right now.
Enjoy your new garden. I hear there is a mini-heatwave for some next week (after the bank holiday). And, of course, the weather always improves when the schools reopen.
It definitely does! We need some better weather – I’m sat with a cardigan wrapped round me and thick socks on! It’s really gone off at the moment.
No wonder Christmas displays are already sprouting up. Enjoy the rest of the summer, Esther.
Thanks, Hugh. You too.
Ba-a-a hahaha! I like this garden sheep–very homey and fun, Hugh! People pay a lot of $ at craft fairs for farmhouse chic items!
Do they? How much would somebody pay for my garden solar-powered sheep, Terri? Of course, I won’t sell it because it’s been with us for too long now. It shines out even during the winter (when the solar lights don’t work).
At least $30-70 US dollars around our area. Soon the Autumn craft shows will begin and the frenzy for farmhouse chic elevates. I’m glad to read the solar lights still work. I’m surprised your pups haven’t had their way with it. Brodie would have jet streamed it by now LOL!
If it doesn’t squeak and they can not tear it apart, they’re not interested in it, Terri.
😂🐾
Is it your garden object? It does not look that strange but rather cool. I like that country style touch.
Yes, in our garden, Erika. I bought it five years ago, and the solar lights still work. They usually fail after a couple of years of being outside all year.
So, well picked 👍
I was in my garden as well where I saw a lone dove and a lone lantern. Not as whimsical as your charming sheep!
My garden sheep is fantastic, but only because its solar lights still work – after five years and being in the garden all year.
You’re lucky – sometimes those solar lamps don’t last that long!
That’s why I thought it was fantastic. Because the solar lights still work on it.
Very cool. I have a garden frog made of spoons and forks.
Is it homemade, Danny? It sounds like a fun object.
Yes, bought it art a local art and crafts show.
i love this cow Hugh she is amazing 💜
Lol, it’s actually a sheep, Willow (well, that’s what it was advertised as). The solar lights on it still work after five years of being in the garden all year.
Oh! Hugh I have just been back and looked again! Lol your right I messed up! Serves me right for trying to do my mail out in the garden .. in the sun I did not see it properly 😁😁😁😁😁
No problem, Willow. I’m more concerned that you’re sitting in the sun in the garden when it’s very cloudy with a drizzle here in Swansea. I say, ‘Enjoy it while you can.’
its a weird day Hugh 19%© and dull most of the time then for half an hour the sun comes out and it glorious…
then boom it’s dull again 💜💜💜💜
Typical British August weather, Willow.
Yed indeed Hugh and cardigans on!!
That is so darn cute! :D
Do you think so? I wasn’t sure when I bought it five years ago, but the solar lights still work. Solar lights usually fail after a couple of years.
Yes, true. I do think so. 🌸 It is pleasing to my eye.
