I thought it was Blenheim and your comments confirmed. Have visited many times, a glorious place. The Palace is superb and the grounds are beautiful and change with the seasons.
I agree. It’s a ‘must visit’ place. I’d like to visit it in the winter too. Although I think a Christmas visit would also be wonderful as I understand the decorations are wonderful.
I came away with a Blenheim Palace advent calendar.
That picture makes me feel very calm and serene, Hugh. I needed that this week!
I’m glad it’s helped, Michelle.
Very peaceful, Hugh! I could use some lazy days. And some summer as well! We’ve been very busy lately, with working, driving, and sightseeing. All in the chilly (and rainy) Andes Mountains of Ecuador. I need a little break! :)
And all this while a lot of Europe are experiencing a heatwave, Liesbet. Thankfully, the British Isles is cool and showery, which suits me much better.
Well that looks like a nice place to enjoy the weather and Nature. I especially like the fact there aren’t a ton of people around also.
I got baby fish for my WW Post.

It was quiet on the day I visited, although the shop and cafe were very busy. So I took the opportunity to take some outdoor shots.
A lot of places like that here have killer geese roaming around. Lol
Beautiful photo Hugh! Thanks for the alt description, as I am blind, so I needed it to fully be able to participate and comment on the pic!
You’re welcome, Carol. I’ve written about the importance of leaving a description of photos and images in the alt text box a few times, including on my ‘What is Wordless Wednesday’ post.
Good place to relax.
I usually schedule my Wordless Wednesday posts for my Wednesday to seem to be missing out on your link. I have added this one on Thursday morning 😁
I don’t mind when these links come in. As far as I’m concerned, if my post is live and is inviting people to leave links, then they’re welcome to do so.
Thanks so much for linking up.
Nothing says “lazy summer day” more than relaxing beside a lake, Hugh! I actually penciled “lazy days of Summer” as an upcoming theme for August :) This is a gorgeous view and embodies the feeling perfectly.
What a coincidence that you got the lazy days of summer coming up as a theme, Terri. This was certainly a great place to relax for a lazy day of summer. Perfect views and perfect weather.
Lol, I guess we all long for those lazy daze 😁
What a wonderful and great peaceful place to be and enjoy and have a picnic basket, with some treats and something cold to enjoy with it.

I agree. It was the perfect place for a quick nap, too. Thanks, Esme.
Beautiful spot Hugh!
It was. Thanks, Wayne.
Looks lovely Hugh. Hope you’re getting good weather 😁
I’m exploring a museum & Art gallery today
This photo was taken several years ago, Brenda. It was in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, which is a great place to visit.
Enjoy your visit to the museum and art gallery.
What a great spot to relax. I’d be floating in the water!
I never saw anybody in the lake, although it was quiet on the day we visited. The photo was taken in the grounds of Blenheim Palace.
Guess since it was Blenheim, I probably wouldn’t dare!
Good choice.
Nice photo! Though it would be hard for me to get up off the ground, but she is much younger than me. Mine photo is just a little summer fun: https://chambersontheroad.com/2023/07/12/wordless-wednesday-7-12-2023/
Thank you, Betty. It takes me a little longer to get up up from sitting on the ground now. And to think I used to be able to handstands too.
Thanks for your link. That’s a great summery photo.
Looks beautifully serene, Hugh.
The grounds of Blenheim Palace, Cathy. A lovely place to visit.
Oh goodness! I didn’t recognise it. I’ve been loads of times, we used to live near there!
Both the grounds and palace are amazing. I also rather liked the shop they have, Cathy. I bought quite a lot there.
Hard to resist 😉
That looks like a great place to spend some time.
It was the grounds of Blenheim Palace, Dan. A great place to visit. They had a great shop too.
I really did Hugh I’d like to be there now💜💜
An idyllic spot to have a picnic Hugh. Peaceful photo 💜
I’m glad you thought so, thanks, Willow.
