  1. Well Hugh, I work out by walking and made my goal of 1,256 miles/2,022 kilometers last year and then some. But I should do exercises to keep me limber, like yoga. I bought the tape and it sits shrink-wrapped without using it. I did shovel snow, some six inches (15 cms) of it this morning from our snowstorm yesterday. It was wet, heavy snow and I will likely feel the effects tomorrow morning unfortunately.

Here is my Wordless Wednesday contribution – only a few people knew why I used the Muhammad Ali quote:

    1. Shovelling snow is always a good workout, Linda. And if you ache the following morning, it shows the workout did its job.

Unfortunately, there’s no snow for me to shovel. And I’m certainly not a lover of the gym.

Thank you for your link. Always good to see you participating in Wordless Wednesday.

      1. Yes, just like the first day out doing yard cleanup in the Spring. You realize you have muscles you forgot about! You’re welcome Hugh – I like participating, even if its Thursday or Friday by the time I get here. :)

    1. I rather enjoy it. Seeing snow falling is something that always brings a smile to my face. Moreso now, given that climate change has killed most of the snow off where I live.

  2. Great shot of you, Hugh! I believe shoveling snow is one of the best winter workouts to do. Especially if you add the “shovel-squat-toss” movement in one graceful move, LOL! I fear we’ll be back to shoveling this Friday as another arctic snow event lands here and super cold temps into next week. Sigh…

    1. I’m pleased to say that I can shovel snow, Terri. Sadly, we don’t get enough for me to scoop. In days gone by, I remember helping my father to clear paths from all the snow. Those are pleasant memories.

Stay warm when that next winter storm hits. I’m kinda jealous you’re getting all the snow.

    1. I’m hoping for snow this winter, as we don’t have anywhere as near as much as we used to 20 years ago. Instead, we seem to have mild, wet winters, which I’m not a fan of.
