Does Your Shadow Look Like You? #WordlessWednesday #Photography

Wordless Wednesday – No words, just pictures. Allow your photo(s) to tell the story.

Photo of a shadow on a textured wall that is looking out towards something.

    1. You’re the first to say that shadows are funny. I guess it all depends on what they do. It’s when they do the unexpected that makes them not so funny anymore. A little my shadow in my photo which was facing me when it should have been looking away from me.

  1. Must admit the wall attracted my attention more than your shadow, with that extra layer of concrete – lets hope its not the crumbly kind. :) As for the shadow, I imagine it feels the sun behind warming it up and making it feel cosy and wishing to stay against the wall

    1. I find the shadow strange, Brenda. Given it’s my shadow (and I took the photo) I can’t help but feel the shadow is facing me, rather it facing away from me.

Glad you like the textures of the walls, too. Fortunately, nothing crumbling while I was there.

      1. Glad to hear the wall is safe. I assumed it was your shadow. Facing you – interesting. Normally we think about shadow’s trying to escape/break free – maybe you had it trapped against the wall and it was scared

        1. Who knows, Brenda? Shadows can be fascinating subjects to talk about. They never show us exactly what they look like, and can differ so much depending on what time of the day it is and wether the sun is out or not. I wonder where they hide when we can’t see them? Questions, questions, questions…

        2. Lol. I love the ideaof them hiding 😆. I was taking some photos while walking to the station. Now I’ve got to go see if my shadows have appeared. Now you’ve really got me thinking … are reflections shadows too? (sitting on the train looking at my reflection in the glass)

        3. That’s a great question, Brenda. I think a reflection would argue that it’s not a shadow because you can clearly see what you look like when looking at a reflection. Whereas a shadow hides a lot of the details.
