Haha, love it, Hugh. You must be a giant! Once in a while, I take a photo of our trio’s shadow early morning or late afternoon. We always look huge, but, because of Maya, we are somewhat recognizable. :-)
Yes, shadows of dogs are usually a great giveaway, Liesbet. Although I always think the shadows of Toby and Austin look like cartoon characters.
I love photos of shadows, and this one really made me smile. I’d love to see a photo from the other perspective now – facing you, so we can see how tall both you and the tree are.😊 Great photo Hugh!

Shadows are fascinating subjects to photograph and write about. They can change something real into something completely different. But you have to beware when a shadow is not mirroring the same action as its owner.

For Wordless Wednesday, the photo shouldn’t have any word included, but also we shouldn’t write anything in the post? Thanks for your advice!

Judging by the length of the grass blades and the average size of the leaves combined with the sun’s brightness which gives an estimated time of day, I’d calculate that you’re about 5′ 34″ tall.

Interesting angle. Kind of like a fun house mirror! I’m guessing 5’10” – I used to be almost 5’7” but I think I’ve shrunk a bit.
Yes, I thought of funhouse mirrors too. Somebody else mentioned they had shrunk as they have got older. I think is part of growing up (or should that be growing down?)
Shadows make for fun images, Hugh. I always love how long shadows slim us down, too 😉
Shadows can do all sorts of things to us, Terri. But beware of them when they’re not doing the same thing as their owner.
