This looks like a fun place to be Hugh. I can imagine kids and adults swiveling their heads upward to look at the animals prancing around, just like kids looking at the big balloon characters at the Christmas parade.
This is my post this week, a laid back squirrel, stretched out and munching peanuts.
It’s an indoor market, Linda. On Tuesdays, it’s a farmers market, hence the farmyard animals. They’re there all week, though.
Looks like a fun place to go Hugh. When I lived in Toronto, we had the St. Lawrence Market, a huge farmers market and here, in the Detroit area, we have Eastern Market which is known for its unusual creativity. A few weeks ago it was “Flower Day” – it’s supposed to be the biggest gathering of flowers for sale at one venue. They have millions of hanging baskets, bedding flats, pots and containers and 400 vendors. People fashion carts with tiers or big wagons to carry their purchases to their vehicles. I hope to get there someday.
Sounds like an amazing place, Linda. A little like Covent Garden flower market in London.
Open-air markets are a sight to behold aren’t hey Hugh?
They are, indeed, Linda.
