That room seems very creepy! I would not want to be in it on a dark night! Lol! I’m too chicken!
I’m glad I visited during daylight hours, Carol anne. It was up a hill and very deserted, so not a place for a nighttime visit.
Thanks so much for participating Hugh and sharing this haunted room at #16 InLinkz #WordlessWednesday (Words also welcome). See you again next week!
Striking photo! Visiting from Wordless Wednesday.
That is a very eerie image, Hugh. I don’t doubt a ghost or two are enjoying themselves in that room. Boo!
I had a very uneasy feeling when I entered that room, but also while taking the photo from outside the window of the room, Eugi. I shall not be going back.
I would feel uneasy in that room too, Hugh. Even taking the photo from the outside the window would be unsettling.
Intriguing!
Great shot, Hugh–if only a spirit would just show up and fly around, huh? Before I retired I worked in a public building that had been renovated from an old school. Rumors were that some children had dies there back in the 1920s. There were days when we heard strange sounds coming from various rooms.
That sounds like a building worth investigating, Terri. Old school buildings and hospitals seem to be places where strange going-ons occur. I don’t mind visiting them during daylight hours, but not when it’s dark.
Gosh, such rooms always have this “haunted” effect on me….
Same here. Something always tells me when I’m near something not of this world.
Nope not done that but will give it a pass.
My entry for today: https://esmesalon.com/birds-during-snow-season/
and please do not forget to come and share your haunted room at https://esmesalon.com/16-wordlesswednesday-words-welcome/
That’s not a place I’d like to spend the night! Here’s my what-the-heck-is -it photo: https://jttwissel.com/2024/02/28/wordlesswednesday-art-or-nature/
Thank goodness it was daylight hours when I visited.
Thanks for your Wordless Wednesday link.
I have photographed many haunted sites. Sometimes something shows up and sometimes not. Fascinating!
I’d love to know more about your photos of haunted places, Jan. Have you ever captured a photo of something you were not able to explain?
Oh yes, I certainly have, Hugh. I have lightened up dark spaces and some very interesting ‘shapes’ have appeared. With your permission, may I please have a go with your photo? There is definitely something there.
With your kindness, I have a #WordlessWednesday post today. It is a photo I took last night whilst watching a lightning storm over Lake Michigan. Thank you so much, Hugh! Cher xoxoxo https://wp.me/p4doQv-2yp
Hi Cher, please do. It was a summer’s day when I visited this place, yet the room was very cold. Even while I took the photo through the window of the room, I felt very uneasy, yet I still ventured in. There was a strange odour in the dark corner of the room, and the door also closed with a bang when the odour reached me. I left very quickly after that.
Thanks so much for your link to your Wordless Wednesday post. I’ll be over to visit it.
I know you are very intuitive Hugh, so you were wise to make haste out of there! An odour, cold temps despite the summer temps, and the door banging would most definitely indicate someone wanting to make their presence known.
Thank you so much, dear Hugh! I appreciate the permission, and the visit to my blog! I shall report back with any ‘enlightened’ findings! Cher xoxoxo
I look forward to hearing what you come back with, Cher.
Thank you, Hugh! I will send you an email! Cher xoxoxo
Definitely looks as though there could be a ghost or two…
I’m glad you think so, Cathy. It was certainly eerie inside that room, even when looking in through the window.
That corner looks a little darker than it ought to be!
Doesn’t it? Plus, there was a strange odour coming from that area.
Ugh, I hope you didn’t get any closer!
I got out very quickly after the door into the room closed by itself.
Good grief – really spooky!
A serial killer
I’m glad they were not there when I called.
