Such an atmospheric photo. It’s like there could be a friendly pub just around the corner or a haunted house.
There was an old castle at the other end. It was over one thousand years old, and parts were still standing.
Oh wow! That is amazing. Here in the States, we don’t even consider anything being that old. I hope you have pics of the castle too to share at some point.

Yes, I have quite a few. One will appear in a Wordless Wednesday post in April.
It looks like the road disappears into a deep forest – it is indeed as you have entitled it “Vanishing Point” and that is an angry-looking sky as well. Here is my post Hugh, from a week ago. By the time you read this, it will be Wednesday. I had fun photographing this heron and other bloggers thought they were funny pics as well. I love Wordless Wednesday to spotlight special pics that would otherwise get buried in my too-long walking posts:

Thanks, Linda.
Not a forest, but a castle. We’ve plenty of castles here in Wales.
I see – I do admire all the stone structures I saw while in other parts of the UK back in 1979 with my parents..
This looks like a nice place to walk 😊
It was delightful.
Wow, what a quaint little country road, Hugh! And it leads to a castle? How amazing!
We are blessed with so many castles in Wales, Terri.
Here is mine Hugh.

Thank you.
That’s a really neat photo Hugh lots of possiblity 💜
Thanks, Willow.
Vanishing point – what a good Renaissance artist you are!
I picked the idea up from another blogger who wrote about vanishing points in photography. I love the idea.
It changed painting in the 1400s!
That’s a great piece oh knowledge. I had no idea it stretched back till then.
Very interesting shot and if I did not read the comments, would not have known it leads to a castle. Mysterious castle I am sure and it would be awesome to go it and see it

We are blessed with the most castles per square mile in the world, Esmé.
Perspective is everything—in photography and life! I love the picture!
Thank you. I’ve heard of vanishing points in photography and never realised I had many photos that include them. They add an edge of mystery to every picture that has one.
I would love to see the castle that the vanishing point leads to. Here’s my Wordless Wednesday for today. https://heavenssunshine.com/breaking-through-the-clouds/
I’m lucky to live in a country with more castles per square mile than any other country in the world.
Vanishing point … I wanted to go for a wander, see where I ended up. I love exploring
That vanishing point led to some lovely views and an old castle, Brenda.
Castles … im sold 😍
You can thank my Renaissance art instructor for that tidbit!
