Now that is a sheepish look if I ever saw one! We have an alpaca farm about 10 miles from where I live. I go to visit sometimes and take my camera for some fun shots, but they stare at me (well at all humans, except the ones who feed them/shear them and muck out their stalls). They also spit at you if they don’t like you. It’s not happened yet, but I stand back a pace or two. 🙂 My Wordless Wednesday post this week was a Tree Swallow that I caught peeking at its perch it was sitting on:

We have some alpacas near us too, Linda. I’ve only passed them once, and they took little, if any, interest in me. The succulent green grass they were eating had all their attention.
They are fun to photograph. This place boards people’s alpacas plus they have their own, shear them and sell the wool. The alpacas are curious and come over to the fence as a group, then leave as a group. You can pay a little fee to go in the pen with them, but I don’t want to get spit on, so I stay on the other side of the fence.
I’m with you. I wouldn’t want to be spat on.
Looks like some great yarn material!
Baa 🐑
Oh, yes! Come spring, there will be a lot of wool available.
A frame within a frame. It looks like it’s almost shearing time.
That’s her winter coat. The photo was taken in early January. Shearing time tends to be in the spring.
I’m going to have to visit Wales 😁 My friend keeps threatening to take me
Take up your friend’s offer. You’ll love it here, Brenda.
He’s trying to decide if you have any treats for him! I know that look!
I did have some dog treats, but I think she muched preferred chewing on the grass. Much more healthy.
I was looking back at you to see if you were looking back at me?
Here’s mine

Exactly, although I think she spotted me first.
Yes indeed 💜😂…she wanted you to kick a ball to her 🙂
The fence in the foreground reminds me of a soccer (football) goal….sheep says “goooaaallll!,” err, excuse me “baaaaaaaa!” Cute pic, Hugh!
Thanks, Terri. I’ve never seen sheep play football, but I’m sure there is a video out there somewhere that will prove me wrong.
No doubt!
I laughed out loud when I looked at your post for today because it is similar to my Wordless Wednesday which had already posted hours before. 😁 Here’s mine. https://heavenssunshine.com/are-you-looking-at-me-2/
I see why, Pepper. I guess the saying ‘great minds think alike’ comes to mind.
Hehe! Glad to be in such good company. 😁
Hello Mrs. Sheep! It’s either very early or around dusk… Here in Colombia, I’ve been staring at “humpback”cows in the fields, Hugh. No sheep yet.
Taken early afternoon but in early January, Liesbet.
I’ve never heard of humpback cows. Humpback whales, yes, but not cows. Hopefully, the sheep will appear on your journey.
That’s my name for the cows, Hugh, because they have a hump between their shoulders. There must be a better name for them, I’m not sure.
Nonetheless, I’m guessing you’ve never seen cows like that before? I’m sure you’ll see lots of new wildlife while travelling in South America, Liesbet.
I love sheep, mainly because we don’t see them very often in Canada. Every time I go to England, I’m seeing so many sheep makes me smile. Thanks for the smile, Hugh!
Here in Wales, we have many more sheep than in England, Michelle. In fact, sheep outnumber humans in Wales. Just imagine what would happen if they wanted to take Wales over. We’d stand no chance.
I’m glad this week’s Wordless Wednesday photo made you smile.
Ah yes. I remember that about Wales. In fact, I have a fridge magnet that says “Rush hour in Wales” and it’s a flock of sheep walking along a county road. 🐑
There you go, Michelle. Your fridge magnet sums up Wales perfectly. That’s one of the reasons we came back to Wales to live.
