The rock faces remind me of two stoic sentries overlooking passersby.
I’d like to participate, I love taking photos, though will need to fossick through my collection that tells a story.
Wordless Wednesday is a great way to publish on your blog if you’ve not got a lot of time. I hope you’ll join us soon and share your photos.
Thank you, Hugh. Is there an easy way to locate the Wordless Wednesday posts from other participants? I also have just posted my photo 🙂
You can use the WordPress search bar to do a search or use the hashtag #WordlessWednesday on Twitter and other social media sites.
I’ve also just started asking participants to leave links to their Wordless Wednesday posts on my Wordless Wednesday posts. However, I only approve links to posts that are wordless. The whole idea of Wordless Wednesday is to showcase photos and pictures without adding any text to the main body of the post.
I hope that helps.
That does help! Thank you very much, Hugh.
It must be so interesting to live somewhere that old castles are a normal part of the landscape.
It is. Wales has more castles per square mile than any other country.
Impressive photo. Where is that?
It’s Abergavenny castle in South Wales, Erika. Although we’re lucky to have more castles per square mile in Wales than any other country worldwide, it’s impressive.
Wales is one of the places in England I have not yet been to but want to see it.
England is one of the countries in the UK, with Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland making up the other three parts that make up the UK, Erika. All beautiful in their own ways.
Where I want to go first (again) is Scotland. I have been to Scotland many, many… many years ago and want to see the picturesque and romantic lake areas and the highlands again.
An archway once upon a time? Here’s mine: https://jttwissel.com/2022/06/28/on-the-ledge-wordlesswednesday/
Thanks, Jan. Yes, a gap in the wall from a 11th-century castle.
That’s a lovely photo, but I’d like to know more about it. 🙂
It’s a gap in a wall of an old castle from the 11th century, Debbie. We have hundreds of old castles in Wales.
Thanks for the info! I love ancient ruins.
I will go down the middle thanks, not that adventurous to go up the wall.

Thanks for the link to your Wordless Wednesday, Esmé. The middle sounds like a good option to me.
That is an immense gate, Hugh, judging by the teensy people. Do tell!
It’s a gap in what used to be a castle wall, Terri. The castle dates back to the 11th century.
Wow that is truly impressive, Hugh!

The link you left in your comment did not work. Just took me to my own stats page (for some reason), so I have deleted it from the comment.
