My goodness! Looks like it had too much of a pruning!
Unfortunately, the tree was blown down in a storm in the 1980s. Somebody decided to turn what was left of it into a work of art.
So nature lives on in the art. Nice.
Yes, indeed, it does.
What happened to that poor tree? It reminds me of butch haircuts in the 1950s. That’s probably what happened. Some gardener in the 1950s didn’t know what he was doing, shaved the poor tree, and the tree died. It’s a very cool picture, Hugh.
Thanks, Marsha. The tree was blown down in a big storm in the 1980s, but somebody decided to create some art out of what was left. It’s a strange sight but better than leaving nature to what was left.
It’s way cool, Hugh!
What remains of a tree. ❤
Indeed. Thanks, Debby.
When its been pruned to death. 😦
I think it had already had its days. It was blown down in a storm in the early 1980s. Someone decided to create some art out of what was left.
Is that a rope swing or a dog lead hanging from a branch?
It’s a rope swing, Mary. Reminds me of the one I used to use as a child located underneath the Seven Bridge. If we’d come off, it was a long way down.
Oh my, that’s a radical trimming. Kind of sad to see.
I believe the tree was blown down during a storm in the 1980s, but someone decided to turn it into a piece of art.
Looks like they found a wonderful new purpose for this tree. Lots of children will have fun climbing.
I’m sure they already have, Erika. I’d hate to fall in and disappear, though.
LOL!!
Yay you have joined us again for Squares, and what a TreeSquare you found. Will it survive the cropping or is the cropping a way of valuing it after it has given up?!
Yes, just slid in before the end of the challenge, Becky. I have meant to enter, but other things got in the way.
I think what was once a tree has been turned into some form of art.
you’re a star, thank you
Very cool tree, Hugh, I thought of a giant hand as well. Too bad it is not alive anymore, but you never know!
Yes, it does look like an upturned hand, doesn’t it, Terri? II believe it was blown down in a storm back in the 1980s and was made into some form of art.
What an unusual tree💜
If it still is a tree?
Indeed 😊
I presume it was trimmed for health purposes and will regrow, like our crepe myrtles?
I think (whatever it is) is now very dead and won’t produce any signs of life. But who knows?
Is there a corgi or two hiding there? 😀
If there is, I won’t be looking for them. Too scary for me.
The hands of God
I was thinking of a hand to hold the fruit in.
I agree a basket!
