Still love this song!! Great for a (finally) sunny Sunday!
Sunny? You have sun when we have yet another day of rain?
I only discovered this song recently, Erika. I’m discovering that David Guetta has produced some amazing music.
It is raining every day over here too for about two weeks. But sometimes the clouds break open an give us some rays. Other than that it is still pretty cool. So, the weather might be pretty much the same… lol
You only discovered it? I am glad you did. Guetta is played a lot on the radio stations over here.
Well, I love his music. I don’t know why I’ve only just discovered him and his music. He writes the kind of music I enjoy writing too.
Now you have a treasure box of songs to listen to, Hugh! He is great!
Great song Hugh I love David Guetta, especially his work with Sia. 💜💜
I don’t know why I haven’t discovered David Guetta earlier, Willow. Where have I been?
Beautiful Wales 💜💜💜💜
This was #1 here? I’ve never heard it before! Not really my thing, sorry.
At number one for one week in June 2009, Clive. The days of being at number one for week’s on end seem to have passed since I knew them. The same goes for chart climbers. Since the early 2000s, songs seem to go straight to number one instead of climbing the charts for weeks on end to reach the top. I prefer the older days of the charts. They held far more excitement.
Me too, Hugh. In my youth the only people to enter the charts at #1 were The Beatles. My perception is that in those days a record was released, and then if it got airplay and interest the record label would spend money on promoting it, so you could watch it progress up the charts. These days I think they put all the effort into advance promo, so that advance orders and streaming guarantee a high chart position on release. I prefer the old way too!
Good. I’m glad I’m not the only one, Clive. I found it exciting watching records climb the charts for weeks. It was a shame that Top of the Pops never played songs that had dropped down the charts, even if just one place. But back then, once a record started sliding, it usually carried on with that journey.
Tune! 🙂
