Love that first picture. Looks like a Christmas tree made out of bottles 🙂
That’s exactly what it’s meant to be, Aimer. I love the idea of a Christmas tree made from empty wine bottles.
No messy pine needles 🙂
Ummmmm … the morning-after-the-night-before-hangover? 😀 … no, the answer is light. 😀
It sure is, although I rather think those bottles look like they are emerging too.
It’s the light in both photos! I just read a piece on using your empty wine bottles to make a wall, round ends out, for a garden.
I’ve heard of bottles being used as walls before. Just imagine the light they would give when hit by light, especially if they are all different colours.
now these are contrasting brights! What great squares, and wow someone had the patience to create that tree.
Thank you so much for joining in with squares again, wonderful to have you back
Thanks, Becky. That bottle tree was a great work of art. I may make my own next Christmas.
fantastic idea 🙂
The first picture is so cool. What an idea. And I love the sunrise photo!
I didn’t realise just what a work of art those bottles were, Erika. Such a cool thing to do with them. Now I need to make sure I have enough empty wine bottles to create my Christmas tree.
Haha, now you have a task to fulfill for the rest of the year. You know, I want to see your bottle tree …haha.
I’m going to give it a good attempt, Erika. 🍷🤪
Yay 😂
I’m sure the bottle tree took quite a bit of time to create from thought to finished tree. I like the emerging light, too, Hugh. You can’t beat a sunrise if you are early enough to catch it. Thanks for participating in Sunday Stills even while Terri was gone. I appreciate it so much!!!
I’ve always been an early bird, Marsha. However, that sunrise photo was taken at the beginning of winter, when sunrise did not happen until just after 8am. And I loved the bottle tree. I thought those bottles looked as if they were emerging. It’s a great example of what one can do with empty wine bottles. Now I need to save mine up in time for Christmas, so I too can have a Christmas tree made from bottles.
I can send you a few! 🙂 I threw away a few really cute ones when we left CA. They had artisy pictures for Fay of the Dead and Halloween. There were six different pictures, and Vince collected them all. I hope someone did something crafty with them like your cute tree. 🙂
I hope they did something good with those bottles, too, Marsha. We recycle ours, but I’ve never really taken a lot of notice of wine bottles. It’s usually the labels that attract me. If the label is nice, then I always think the wine inside the bottle will be good. Unfortunately, not always the case.
True. Hugh, we just got a phone app called Vivino – it’s free. It reads the labels and rates the wine. It seems pretty accurate.
Does it also tell you where you can buy the wine and how much it is?
It gives you an average price. I’ve only used it once, and I don’t remember it telling where to buy the wine.
I only ask because we sometimes get wine as a gift, love it, but then can’t find where to buy it. I know we could always ask whoever gave it to us, but for some reason, I never like doing that.
I don’t blame you. It feels tacky even though they would probably feel honored enough to think you loved something enough to buy some more. I would go ahead and ask, but I’m kind of over assertive.
Very clever idea for bottle storage!
I agree, especially with your empties.
A tree made of bottles? Very cool, Hugh!
Thanks, Terri. I thought those bottles looked as if they were emerging – just like branches on a tree. The one in the photo is meant to be a Christmas tree. I thought it a really great work of art.
