Nice to see some rain, albeit in a photo. It doesn’t rain much here at all Hugh, too much sun 😎 but I love it here in Perth WA
Loving living in a place is all that matters, Alison. I don’t mind the sun. It’s when it’s accompanied by humidity that I turn into a grumpy monster.
Yes the humidity is a killer so tiring
Wonderful capture of the photo Hugh. Once we get through the rain, the reward is the rainbow. xx
I love rainbows, Debby. Having rain is worth having rainbows. 🌈
xx
I’m with you on that my friend ❤
Those photos sure bring a rainy point across, Hugh! We haven’t had a day of rain in many weeks and I’m wondering if we could really be in Baja California for two months without seeing and feeling rain… Time will tell! Hey, you changed your profile photo on your blog! Nice one. 🙂
I think I’d miss the rain if it hadn’t rained for two months, Liesbet. Not likely to happen where I live, though. Well, hopefully, not. However, when we go away on holiday, we hope it won’t rain while we’re away. If it is going to rain, then much better when I’m in bed.
Thank you for noticing I’d changed my profile picture. I’ve just done it again.
I love the effect of rain on windows. You have captured this perfectly! Thank you for sharing these.
Thank you, Donna. I rather like raindrops too. Look deeply into them, and you’ll be surprised by what they reveal.
We typically get a lot of rain in the winter (northern California). This year was a bit more normal, but we’ve had droughts three of the last four years in the state. This has led to tons of problems with wildfires. The curious thing is that many of the wildfires don’t hit until later in the year. This year there were wildfires still going on in December.
Sounds like it’s all part of global warming, Pete. Where I live, we get rain all year round, so it tends to be flooding which is the problem, especially during the winter months.
Hugh, I love that top picture especially. It’s one of my favorites of all times. 🙂
That’s so kind of you to say, thank you, Marsha. I love seeing those kinds of days here in Wales. Fortunately, we get plenty of them.
We are getting snow for the next few days. I’m going to run out in a little while after it melts and take pictures of leaves with water dripping from them! LOL
Lovely rainbow. We get quite a lot of rain in the spring but our summers are usually hot and dry.
Thank you, Michelle. We get the odd nice summer, but as I live in one of the UK’s wettest cities, we get rain all year long. I don’t mind walking in the rain. I see it as Mother Nature’s way of ensuring I’m still waterproof.
Sorry for the endless rain but you got some nice shots of the raindrops and rainbows!
Thank you. I don’t mind the rain. We get lots of it here, but it’s nice to get the odd sunny, dry day too.
Lovely photos. Does it rain here? Well, we just endured the tenth wettest winter in memory and because we live in a massive construction site, we have been living in mud! We’ve now had a week of dry weather and I think I’m dreaming!
We get rainy weeks too. I don’t mind the odd day of rain, especially in the summer, because it helps freshen everything up, but when it rains a lot in the winter, I totally get what you’re saying about the mud.
Enjoy the week of dry weather. We’ve just had one, and I rather enjoyed the frosty nights that came with it.
What a beautiful rainy window view, Hugh! The image is full of textures but I love the huge clouds in the distance. Gorgeous double rainbow as well.
Thanks, Terri. I’m a big fan of rainy days, but not of rainy weeks.
Chucking it down here too, Hugh. Lovely rainbow though.
A double one, Cathy. I seem to see more and more of them these days.
Lots of rain, but also a rainbow 😀🌈
We wouldn’t have rainbows without the rain, Helen. At least, I don’t think we would.
Wow! They look like paintings. Subtle colors
Do you think so? I love that. Thank you.
Yes, indeed. You’re welcome
The delights of living in Wales!
I wouldn’t have it any other way, though — the best place in the world to live…for me, anyway. 😁
