    1. I had someone hold on to the back of my shirt when I took that shot, Terri. It’s an amazing place, although I didn’t do the helicopter ride to the bottom. Maybe next time?

    1. The redness of the rock reminded me of the rocks I’ve seen photos of on Mars, Liesbet. I wonder if they’re all related in some way? I enjoyed my one and only trip to the Grand Canyon. We went very early one morning before the heat really built.

    1. Ah, those other photos are all in Wales, not England, Diana (although England has some spectacular mountains and valleys too). I hope you make it to the Grand Canyon. It’s an amazing place.

      1. That is a phenomenon I experienced too. I am totally afraid of heights. But when I got there, I was so fascinated of this indescribable beauty that I did not feel a bit of fear. I was standing only 20 centimeters away from the edge and later I went on the skywalk too… I had never thought I could ever do that.

        1. I did the glass skywalk, and because I knew I had glass underneath my feet and a barrier stopping me from falling off, I seemed to be okay with it. Getting too close to the edge without any barriers was a no-no. I think I had someone holding on to my shirt when I took the picture.

        2. I fully agree and that is why I couldn’t understand the ease I was feeling when standing at the edge. I was on top of the CN tower in Toronto but I could impossibly walk on that glass bottom although it was indoor. It is all in the head… lol

    1. Thank you, Cathy. I am blessed to live not far away from the Brecon Beacons National park, although I’ve yet to discover all of it.

I visited the Grand Canyon in 2010. Took the photo on my then iPhone4. The other photos were taken with an iPhone XR. You can certainly tell the difference.
