  1. This is so peaceful and happy to me, Hugh. Quiet… just the occasional word or two from the only other occupied table, at the other end of the patio. Peaceful motion of the waves and boats. Happy, because of the sunshine and the boats, which surely must be on carefree courses. I hope your holiday weekend is happy and carefree. Hugs.

    1. We love living on the coast, Teagan. It can get busy, but we never get disturbed by the visitors. We’re also lucky in that we have a local authority who cleans up all the mess during the early hours of the following day, so it’s like waking up to clean, fresh day every day.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend. 🌞

    1. Springtime can also not be good in the UK. We’ve had a good one this year, although now people here are crying out for some rain! When it comes to the weather, I don’t think there’s ever pleasing us British. 😀

    1. Wordless Wednesday has been going since I started blogging (Feb 2014). It’s seen as a great way to connect with other bloggers. Participants are supposed to publish photos or images that have no words in them, and not to include any words in the post. It’s great fun and has undoubtedly connected me with other bloggers.

      1. Connecting with other bloggers has been like the best funniest part of this experience so far so I will hands down consider taking this up myself in the future. Thanks for the info! 😉

        1. I’m always amazed by how many bloggers tell me that they do not have the time to connect with other bloggers. It can become a very lonely blogging experience when that happens.
          You’re welcome, Cailin.

  2. Looks like you have better weather than we have had in Northern California, Hugh! A beautiful day and I can feel the solitude… until the crowd comes. Could this be a hint of a new story from you (what happened to the crowd?) 🙂

    1. This photo was taken a few years ago, Terri. Our weather has been good, although next week the temps are back down to low 50s. 🥶 How can that be when the longest day is now less than a month away?

I was lucky to get this shot with nobody other than that one guy in it. This corner of our city is always busy, although I do remember there being a chilly breeze that day, so just about everybody else was taking coffee inside the cafe.
