Welcome back to Weekend Music Share; the place where everyone can share their favourite music.

Not only is music an excellent source of memory, but it can also inspire me, especially when I’m faced with writer’s block.
My song choice for this week is a piece of music that never fails to inspire me and get my creative cogs turning. In fact, many of my short stories were written while this song played in the background.
First released in Italy, ‘Children‘ failed to chart. However, the track was taken to the U.S.A and played in a nightclub in Miami. Not only did the crowd love it, but so did a member of staff from another record label.
He managed to persuade Robert to allow the record label he worked for to re-release the track in Europe. The track became a worldwide hit, charting at number one in more than 12 countries, and became a top five hit in every European country that had a singles chart (apart from Hungary, where it only reached number 23).
This week, share a favourite song that inspires you, or just share a favourite piece of music or song with us. Share a link to it in the comments, or link back to this post from your blog.
Feel free to use the ‘Weekend Music Share‘ banner in your post, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #WeekendMusicShare on social media so other participants can find your post.
My thanks to Erika Kind for the inspiration for this feature.

Great song choice, Hugh. I forgot about it. Thank you for reminding us of this one. Very inspiring indeed!
You’re welcome, Erika. This track never fails to inspire me.
Definitely not, Hugh!
It’s got a great beat, Hugh! I can see why you are inspired! I have a lot of music on Spotify, so much instrumental that keeps my ideas moving. Like many who commented already, I hadn’t heard this one either! Happy weekend!
Instrumental tracks seem to be the ones that inspire the most, Terri. I need to get my headphones on again and start writing some new short stories.
Have a great week.
Yes, me too! Have a productive week!
Wonderful!
Thank you.
You’re welcome!
I hadn’t heard that piece of music before, Hugh. I can hear how it would get the thoughts pumping.
It always works for me, Norah. Never fails. I owe Mr Miles a lot of credit. Sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago.
But his music lives on – a great legacy to leave.
Once again Hugh, you’ve introduced me to another new song. I can see how the rhythm would be inspirational. ❤
It’s always been a winner for unblocking the creativity pipe for me, Debby. It never fails to inspire me.
xx
I can hear why 🙂 xx
What a great song to write to, Hugh. Thank you for sharing your inspiration!
You’re welcome, Donna. I’m glad you enjoyed the track.
A timely tune for women in the new age of repression. https://3rsofretirement.com/2019/05/18/weekend-music-share-for-all-the-sisters/
Indeed, thank you for sharing your choices with us, Marie.
Hi Hugh, I wasn’t familiar with this song, but I love it. Thank you for sharing it.
If I were giving prizes you would have won at my blog today. You guessed exactly right. But there’s more to it than that, so I’m not spoiling it by letting you know your guess was right.
My song? As a child I loved songs that told stories. Maybe I still do. One from Neil Diamond inspired me to add to his story. (As you already know.)
Hugs on the wing!
Lol, thanks, Teagan. I won’t spoil it for other readers either, but I do like the way you always leave us on a cliffhanger with your chapter endings. It’s a sure way to keep readers guessing and for them to come back to find out the answer.
I’m enjoying your new story feature very much. It’s been a brilliant read, and I’m looking forward to reading where you will take your readers and me.
Thanks for the clip. You did a fantastic job with it.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Hugs.

Oh my day! I remember that one! Nineties!
Yes, 1995, Steve. Over 20 years ago! Where does the time go?
I know. It’s frightening. You’ve inspired me to join in! https://authorsteveboseley.wordpress.com/2019/05/18/weekend-music-share-time-pink-floyd/
Thanks for joining in, Steve.
Some might think it’s a cheesy choice, but I love this one. It inspires me to want to spread positivity and peace. Jonh Lennon’s Imagine…
I can see why it inspires, Ritu. I think a lot of people get inspiration from your song choice.
It’s a wonderful song with a fantastic meaning 😊
Great choice Sis 💜
Thanks sis 💜
I have a wall tattoo with a part of the lyrics. For sure one of the songs with a deep meaning that speaks straight to the heart.
Beautiful!
😊
