Welcome back to Weekend Music Share; the place where everyone can share their favourite music.
All songs are supposed to tell a story, but how many of those stories actually stay with you and, in your opinion, would make a best-selling book?
This week, my song choice tells a fantastic story that involves murder, love, jealousy, and the name of a nightclub I used to frequent during my disco-dancing days.
Released in 1978, ‘Copacabana’ made it to number four in Belgium, number six in The Netherlands, number seven in Canada, and number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S.A. In the UK, the song only peaked at number 22! (what were we British people thinking of? – only number 22)!
The song has featured in over a dozen movies, but the one I remember it from the most is ‘Madagascar 2′.
This week, share a favourite song that tells a story that you think would make a best-selling book, or just share a favourite piece of music or song with us. Share a link to it in the comments, or link back to this post from your blog.
Feel free to use the ‘Weekend Music Share‘ banner in your post, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #WeekendMusicShare on social media so other participants can find your post.
