The Bloggers Bash Blog Post Competition

I don’t know about you, but I enjoy entering competitions, especially when the subject is something I have a passion for.

So what could be more passionate than a blogger who has a passion for blogging?

The Bloggers Bash blog post competition gives all bloggers a chance to submit a blog post connected to a theme. This year’s theme is ‘Five‘, and your post can either be a brand new post or one that you have previously published.

What are the prizes?

There are some Amazon gift cards up for grabs for the winners, plus a chance for you and your blog to receive some promotion via the Bloggers Bash website and on some of the blogs of the committee.

I’ve written my entry, which I’ll be publishing on my blog this week.

Unfortunately, as a committee member, my entry won’t be submitted to the judges. However, I wanted to take up the challenge and get my creative cogs turning. Not only did I have great fun writing my entry, but it also helped me form part of a storyline for a new short story.

Your entry does not need to be fiction. It can be made up of photographs, recipes, reviews, tips, music, books, or anything you enjoy doing and want to share with your readers. Just ensure it has the theme of ‘five’ running through it.

Why not have a go? After all, you have to be in it to win it.

How do I enter the competition?

Click here for full details of how to enter the competition.

Closing date for entries is at 23:59 (GMT) on Sunday, 24th March 2019, so you still have time to get your entries in.

I’m not a judge in the competition but, nonetheless, I’m looking forward to reading your entry.

If you have any questions about the competition, please don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments section. I’ll get straight back to you.

Good luck if you decide to enter.

  1. I’m looking forward to reading your contribution, Hugh! While I like competitions, this one would require a bit too much of my precious free time these days. I’m quite behind with everything “blogging” already. And, I need to get outdoors for a bit after spending many days behind my computer. Have fun hopping around reading other entries too!

    1. Thanks, Terri. Unfortunately, my entry won’t be entered into the contest because I’m on the committee of The Bloggers Bash, and am not eligible to enter. You can give it a go, though. 😀 Good luck if you decide to enter.

  2. Yes I’ve entered the competition Hugh, with an amended older post so I was glad to hear older posts are eligible. Glad there are lots of entries, make the judges work for their money 🙂

  3. Mine is all done Hugh. I love the fact that we all get to read the entries as they go up on people’s blogs. It is amazing, already such varied submissions. As you say it can be serious, fun, inspirational, helpful. The ones I have read have been excellent. I am looking forward to yours now 💜💜💜💜

    1. I’m planning on publishing my entry on Thursday, Willow. We’ve had excellent entries in so far. I’m glad I’m not judging the competition this year.

Thanks, as ever, for sharing details via your blog and on social media. Good luck with your entry.

      1. Question, rules state need photographer ‘s permission to use their photo. Does this apply if photos come from the free sites on WP or Pexles? I could use my own photos too if needed. Thanks!

        1. Images from sites that offer images that are completely free to use are fine, Debbie. However, you may like to consider using your own original images as I’m sure it would give entries extra bonus points.

        2. Thank you! I’ve already started and will use my on photos. 😊 BTW, if I didn’t work full time, I’d probably be a contest junkie! I’ve entered my cat photos in several and won a few. I even won Star Trek cat pins for a friends BD gift. It’s addicting! 😂
