We all have our favourite blogs and bloggers, don’t we? But how often do we shout about who they are to each other?

Of course, leaving them thoughtful comments on their blog posts, or sharing their posts on social media, are just a few ways we can reveal who our favourite blogs and bloggers are, but there’s also another way to tell the world who they are.
Once a year, you can support your favourite blogs and bloggers by nominating them for an award at the Annual Bloggers Bash. Not sure what the Annual Bloggers Bash is? Click here for full details.

This year, the Bloggers Bash is celebrating its fifth year, and one of the highlights of the event are the Bloggers Bash Awards. There are ten awards up for grabs including Best Book Blog, Best Photography Blog, Best Writing/Blogging Blog, to name but a few. Click here for full details of all the awards.
How do I nominate a blog or blogger for an award?
It’s as easy as A, B, C. All you have to do is fill out a few details on a form to nominate your favourite blogs and bloggers in each category. Please ensure you complete all the information that is required; otherwise, your nomination will not be included. Click here to start nominating, and don’t rely on somebody else nominating your favourite blogs and bloggers.
When do nominations close?
31st March 2019.
Shortly after nominations close, voting will begin in each category of awards. The results will be announced at the Bloggers Bash, in London, on Saturday 15th June. Click here to buy a ticket for the event.
Check out the video below to meet some of the bloggers who attended the 2018 Bloggers Bash.
As a member of Bloggers Bash committee, I’m afraid you can’t nominate me or my blog for an award. However, the best prize you can give me is to leave me a comment on any of my posts.
Would you like to be in with a chance of winning a £50 Amazon gift card?
Then check out the Bloggers Bash Blog post competition. Open to all bloggers, regardless of whether they’re coming to the Bloggers Bash or not; you’ll only have a chance of winning one of three Amazon gift cards if you enter the competition. Click here for full details.
So, who are you going to nominate for a Bloggers Bash award?

This is a not so subtle hint to go vote
Thanks Hugh, I enjoyed watching that! has made me feel more excited for June now,
Wonderful. It’ll be here before you know it. Are you going to enter the Blog post competition?
Hi, I’m in two minds about entering. There are so many talented bloggers im not sure if I could compete… however somebody has to win and it could be me… or maybe it’s not about winning, it’s about taking part… Ha ha, I am really thinking about it.
What’s the saying? ‘You gotta be in it to win it.’ Good luck if you decide to have a go.
Thankyou Hugh.
So lovely to hear the Blogger’s Bash is rolling on into another year and fifth year too. It felt like it was just yesterday it all started. Really love the community surrounding it and the blogging community at large. It is a great to recognise bloggers as blogging is hard work and take up a quite a bit of time, and lovely to see a number of award categories too. I have quite a few favourite blogs and bloggers and it would be very difficult for me to pick one favourite blogger – every blog is diverse and different and also the blogger behind the blog. I like to show my support to bloggers by regularly commenting on their blog and sharing their blogs on Twitter 🙂
Thank you, Mabel. That’s how I show my support too. If I’d been allowed to nominate (I can’t, because I’m on the Bloggers Bash committeee) it would have been a very tough choice for me to choose which blogs to nominate. It’s been an incredible 5 years since founder Sacha Black first dreamt of the idea of the Bloggers Bash. Just as unbelievable as her asking me to be on the committee. 😀
It is amazing you are taking your role on the commitee very seriously, Hugh. You also recap the bash each year so well, with both words and video – multitasking amazingly. Looking forward to this year’s bash 🙂
Hi Hugh! Too bad we can’t nominate you. 🙂 I can’t believe another year has passed since the last nominations, votes, and – almost – Blogger’s Bash. Time is a flying so verrrrry fast!
I know. I’m not allowed to nominate anyone either, Liesbet. I’m quite pleased about that, though.
I can totally understand your relief about that, Hugh. You know so many amazing bloggers that it would be difficult (and not guilt-free) to pick favorites!
Hi Hugh,
Why can’t you nominate?
Janice
As a committee member, I’m not allowed to nominate or be nominated, Janice. It’s a rule we adopted after the first year and seems only fair. Otherwise, it could look rather strange if committee members take some of the awards.
Thank you for the explanation.

Nominations are open until the end of March. Voting will be open for a week in mid-April. It’s a brilliant event whether you are nominated or not. Come along and meet some really interesting people. It’s a fantastic day out!
This is a great way to learn of fabulous new-to-me blogs. Congrats on the five-year anniversary!
Thank you, Jacquie. Yes, the Bloggers Bash has certainly bought me into contact with many new blogs and bloggers.
Dean Wesley Smith (hisname.com), hands down. If it weren’t for Dean, I wouldn’t be the prolific professional I am today, period. And second, the KillZone blog. Some good advice there most days. And I share favorite bloggers pretty much every day in my Daily Journal at hestanbrough.com. And thanks for the link. I’ll definitely check it out and submit a nomination.
Hi Harvey, thank you for letting me know about the problem with the missing ‘submit’ button on the nomination form. It seems to have ‘ghosted out.’ However, when I hovered my mouse just above the faint line under the box that you fill to nominate somebody, my mouse turned into the little ‘click’ icon. When I then clicked to submit, the nomination came through. I’ve asked somebody to take a look at the problem to get the button to show, but could I ask you to try again and click just above the faint line on the form. It should all come through. Let me know once you’ve done it, and I’ll check to ensure your nomination has come through.
It worked, Hugh, and I submitted a nomination. The Submit button was just below the bottom left corner of the submission form (still not showing).
That’s great, Harvey. I’ve checked, and the nomination has come through.

Check out this post from Hugh’s Views and News blog that asks the question: Who’s your favorite blogger?
Wow! Is it really the fifth year? What a wonderful milestone. Congratulations on a great annual event.
Yes, time flies, Norah. Thank you. We couldn’t have these events if it weren’t for the great support we get from you all in the blogging community.
And good luck if you decide to have a go at the blog post competition. I think your expertise at writing flash fiction would shine through to the judges.
Thanks for your encouragement, Hugh. I’ll give it some thought. 🙂
Oh Hugh, I’ve just sat and watched the whole video back from last year’s bash!! Seeing and hearing everyone again has made me wish I was able to get there again this year. I loved the time I spent meeting everyone and look back on it all with wonder – I actually got there and even won an award!! What a fun time it was. Wishing you all well for this year’s bash and thanks for sharing the memories.
Thanks, Debbie. I thought it a great idea to include the video again, especially as it will give anyone thinking of coming to this year’s event an idea of who attends. It certainly bought back great memories when I watched it again.
My fingers are crossed that you’ll be able to make it over for a future Bloggers Bash. In the meantime, you can nominate and also enter the Blog Post competition if you fancy having a go? This year, the judges are looking for some great put together blog posts, and your posts always look amazing and are eye-catching. Good luck if you decide to enter. I think you’d be in with a great chance of winning.
Thanks Hugh, I’ll definitely look into entering after those kind words of encouragement.
The video was brilliant fun to watch again and to see the joy everyone had at being there was infectious.
My favorite blog? Eeks! That is like asking what is my favorite cocktail – ‘it depends’ what I am in the mood for that moment. I would have to think on this good question.
As soon as you’ve made your choice, don’t forget to nominate them for an award. And good luck if you decide to have a go at the Blog post competition. I think your humour would be a winner with the judges.
Hi, Hugh – Thank you for this reminder. And thank you to you and your committee for all of your work to make the Annual Blogging Bash and Awards a reality. It is very much appreciated!
You’re welcome, Donna. It’s great to see all the hard work coming together.
Good luck if you decide to enter the Blog Post competition.
A wonderful idea, I came here via Robert Goldstein’s share of your post, I’ll definitely be nominating my favaourite blogger.
Thank you, Ivor. Don’t forget about the Bloggers Bash Blog post competition, too. There are some great prizes up for grabs. ‘You gotta be in it to win it.’
Thanks to Rob for sending you over to check out all the details.
My pleasure Hugh, and I shall be following up .

Here is your chance to award your favorite bloggers. from Hugh’s Views and News
Thanks Hugh. It’s such a tough question to answer. There are so many good blogs.
As a committee member, I’m glad I’m not entitled to nominate, Rob. It would be a very hard choice to make.
Thanks so much for reblogging the post and sharing it with your readers.
Woohoo! Hugh 💜💜💜😜
Thanks so much for reblogging, Willow.
Have a lovely day. 🌞
Pleasure Hugh , have a good day yourself 💜💜

From Hugh Blogger’s Bash reminders.
You guys are so well organized. I’m so impressed.
Thank you. I think the committee works great as a team.
Now that the the BB has some new categories, I’ve nominated a blogger for one! Great fun!
Thank you, Terri. I think the new categories were a great choice.
There are so many wonderful bloggers out there, Hugh. I have already cast a couple of votes but glad there is still time to vote for a few more…now it is just decided who to choose when I am so spoilt for choice! 🙂
It’s a very tough choice you all have to make as to who to nominate, Judy. As a committee member, I’m glad I don’t have to make any choices.
Will you be having a go at the blog post competition? I’m sure your poetry would have a great chance of winning one of the prizes on offer. Good luck if you decide to have a go.
I usually like to have a go at the blog post competition and will be trying my luck no doubt, Hugh 🙂
Good job, Hugh.
Thanks, John.
Oh, I am glad I saw this post, Hugh, I couldn’t remember when the nominations closed. I am glad there is still some time.
Yes, still 6 weeks to nominate, but time sure does fly, Robbie. If you’re thinking of entering the blog post competition, the closing date is March 24th. I’ll be publishing several more reminders, though.
Wow! The 5th year already! I remember the first one and the story that came up with it!
Time flies, Elizabeth. And thanks for remembering that story – The Truth App. One not to read if you’re a blogger 😱

So many good blogs to choose from, it’s just as well we have a few weeks to do this!
I’m just glad that, as a committee member, I’m disqualified from being able to nominate, Clive. I’d have some tough choices to make.
I know what you mean!
Good luck.
Yes! Give your favorite blogger a nomination.
Absolutely, Jennie.
Thanks for posting this, Hugh. I’ve seen the info before, but a reminder is a good thing. I want to be sure to nominate my fav! 🙂
You’re welcome, Penny. Don’t leave it too late to nominate your favourite blogs and bloggers. If anything like me, life sometimes gets in the way and then it’s too late.
