It gives me great pleasure to present to you the winners of this year’s Bloggers Bash Blog Post competition.
The theme of the competition was ‘Royalty’, and participants were allowed no more than 300 words in their entry. Please do click on the links and read the winning entries, not only because they are wonderfully written stories, but because it gives the reader an idea of what judges are looking for when entering any competition.
1st Place – Marje Mallon (Blog: M. J. Mallon Author) with an entry called The Queen’s Dress Down Day.
2nd Place – Samantha Smith (Blog: Loving The Fifty Something) with an entry called The Royal House.
3rd Place – Georgia Rose (Blog: Georgia Rose Books) with an entry called The Proverbial Fairy Tale.
Two of the winners (Marje and Samantha) were at the Bloggers Bash and were awarded their prizes on the day. Georgia has been contacted and has received her prize.
On behalf of the Bloggers Bash committee, I would like to thank our two judges, Joanne Robertson (My Chestnut Reading Tree) and Kaisha Holloway (The Writing Garnet), for judging the competition and reading all the entries. They had a tough job in choosing the winners.
Many congratulations to all the winners, and to everyone that entered the competition.

Congratulations to the winners and kudos to the jury! Samantha appears to be a rising star on many levels this year. Well done, girl!
Thank you, Liesbet. Yes, Sam and her blog are certainly ones to watch. Her style of writing is very engaging and always draws me in.
These stories were all so cleverly written. I do love how each one was so different yet captured the theme perfectly. Well done to them all., it must have been a very tricky job choosing the winners 🙂
I think the judges had a tough time choosing their winners, Judy. I’m glad I wasn’t a judge this year. 😀
I am not surprised, Hugh!! I wouldn’t want to be either!! 😊
Congratulations to the winners, Hugh. It must have been a great competition.
It was, Norah. The judges had a tough time choosing the three winners.
Thank you.

Thank you Hugh. Was the icing on the cake to an already fabulous day 🙂 Still can’t believe I came second!! WhoopWhoop 🙂
Well done, Sam. As they say – ‘you gotta be in, to win it.’ Congratulations on your story taking 2nd place. I hope you’ll go on and enter some more competitions.
I think I just might do that 😊

Thanks to Hugh for putting together this post about the winners of The Bloggers Bash Writing Competition. Well done to us all, and special thanks to the judges and committee members for making The Bash such a wonderful annual event. 🙂 x
I loved your entry Marje, well deserved 🙂
Thank you Hugh. I shall be popping over to read The 3rd place winner which I haven’t read yet. Well done to everyone. It’s been a very memorable bash for me. Thank you to the competition judges , the committee and to yourself for all that you do. 🙂
You’re welcome, Marje. I was given the task of organising the competition and, with the help of Shelley, we managed to get it to all come together. Fabulous entries for what I thought was a tough subject to write about. Many congratulations on winning the competition. The trophy was meant for you just because of what it was. However, your story was very well written and, I know, gave lots of people a laugh. I hope you enjoy spending the voucher.
Thank you for sharing and reblogging the post.
My pleasure Hugh. I still have to decide on what to spend the voucher on. My daughters are after it! So I better spend it soon or they will be encouraging me to spend it on them! Lol. No doubt I will buy some books… It has really encouraged me to enter more competitions and the like. I just entered Dan Alatorre’s Word Weaver one and dark humour is playing a part in that! 🙂 x
Good luck in that competition, Marje. Dark humour sounds just your subject. And, yes, get that voucher spent soon, before somebody else spends it for you. 😀
Thanks Hugh. Ha Ha! Yes I am such a softie… better move fast…
Congratulations, Marje, Samantha and Georgia! Thank you Judges and Committee Members for your commitment and hard work. I greatly enjoyed following the Bloggers Bash virtually…and hope to get there in person one year soon!
Thank you, Donna. Just seeing all those smiles makes the hard work worth it. Fingers crossed we will see you at the next Bloggers Bash.
Congrats to the winners!!!
Thank you, Susie.
A truly deserving winner 💜
Thank you, Ritu.
