Did You Win The Recent Glimpses Competition?

Thank you to everyone who entered the recent Glimpses competition.

Before I announce the winner, let’s have a look at the question which all competitors had to answer.

What number do you get when adding together the number of sweets in the following two photos, to the number of short stories in Glimpses?

There are 31 sweets in the first photo, 32 in the second photo and 28 short stories in Glimpses, making the answer: 91

Competitors also had to complete the following tiebreaker.

Here I am reading my own book! Using no more than 15 words, come up with a caption for the photo.

With the help of Lucy Michell, who blogs at BlondeWriteMore, and who chose the winning caption, I’m delighted to announce the winner is Clare Scott from Tramore, in Co. Waterford, Ireland.

Clare’s winning caption was –

‘Author Hugh Roberts reading Glimpses just before his mysterious disappearance. Only the book was found.’

That sound like an opening line to a new short story to me. Thanks, Clare.

Clare wins a £50 Amazon e-gift card and a signed copy of Glimpses.

Many congratulations to Clare, and thank you to Lucy Mitchell for helping me in choosing a winner.
