Welcome to the second new feature, for 2017, on Hugh’s Views And News. You can check out my first new feature by clicking here.

During the next 39 weeks, I’ll be showcasing and recommending blogs everyone should follow.

39 Weeks: 39 Blogs Everyone Should Follow In 2017

To get us started, I’d like to introduce Chris, The Story Reading Ape’s Blog.

Many of you may already know and follow Chris’s blog, but for those that don’t already do so, Chris promotes authors and their books as well as offering a platform on his blog for authors and writers to promote themselves by writing guest posts. Check out Chris’s ‘about me’ page by clicking here.

Chris also offers authors his book cover and book promo trailer design services, 3D book promo display options, as well as other promo designs and graphics services. Check out the full details by clicking here. He also offers a selection of free editing tips which you can check out by clicking here.

Chris has put together his ‘authors hall of fame.’  Yes, you’ll even find me in there! If you are an author and don’t already appear in his ‘hall of fame’ then go on over and introduce yourself. He’d be delighted to welcome you.

As well as promoting authors and their books, Chris publishes ‘Monday Funnies’ posts which will have you crying with laughter, so you don’t necessarily have to be an author to follow his blog. He also occasionally writes his own short stories; some of which you can find by clicking here. He’s also put together a link to current free E-Books available.

Talking of E-Books, Chris published a book last year. However, he’s not the author. No, this book is full of poetry written by his late Mother. On what would have been Agnes Mae Graham’s 90th birthday last year, Chris published the book.

My Vibrating Vertebrae and Other Poems by Agnes Mae Graham

So, the first of my 39 blogs to follow is Chris, The Story Reading Ape’s Blog.

  1. Oh my gosh! I had NO idea that was his book! I’ve seen that book around and always thought it looked interesting (love the cover, too) but didn’t know he published it. I’ve no idea how I missed that link but thank you for sharing! 💖 I’ve been following Chris’s blog for a bit now. Need to catch up on his posts. Great pick for blog to follow.

    1. Thank you, Sarah. It’s always great to hear from someone how thankful they are when you mention something in a blog post that they had missed. We can’t all read every single blog post of the blogs we follow, so these reminders come in very handy.

  2. Hi Hugh! Wow! This is a great series and who better to start with then ‘Chris The Story Reading Ape’? I already follow Chris’ blog and proud to say I too am in his authors’ ‘Hall of Fame’ and in great company I must say, but I loved reading all about him here. 😀 xx

  3. I can’t even begin to describe how helpful I’ve found the Ape’s site. A wealth of information. For anyone who writes (or is interested in books and the world of writers) his blog is a must. This is a great feature, Hugh. I’m looking forward to finding a few new blogs to follow! Happy New Year. 🙂
