#Glimpses – Prelaunch Blog Party

I’m celebrating the upcoming publication of my first book, Glimpses, and from now until December 2nd, I’d like to invite everyone to my prelaunch blog party.

Glimpses - Prelaunch Blog Party poster

Here’s what you need to do.

  1. In the comments section of this post, write a brief introduction of who you are and attach a link to one of your blog posts or your ‘about me’ page.
  2. Mingle. Check out all the other comments and go meet lots of other bloggers and their blogs and introduce yourself. Don’t be shy, go say hello.
  3. During the time the party runs, feel free to come back and leave up to two other links to blog posts. They don’t have to be blog posts from your blog; why not surprise a fellow blogger you follow, introduce them and leave a link to one of their blog posts?
  4. If you’re an author and would like to promote up to three of your books, then feel free to leave details in the comments.
  5. Feel free to spread the word and link any blog posts back to this one by leaving a pingback. Not sure how to create a pingback? Click here for details.

Please note that as I moderate all comments before they appear, it may be some time before your comment appears (especially if it’s the middle of the night here in the UK).

I’ve one more request for you. Please go and visit the blog of Richard M. Ankers and say hello. Richard’s book ‘The Eternals’ has been shortlisted as one of the best 50 Indie books of 2016 in the Paranormal category. The book has now made it to the last 20 and Richard would be delighted if you’d go and vote for the book. Click here for more details.

    1. Hi, Dorne. Thank you so much for ordering the paperback. You’ve beaten me to it as I’ve not actually announced it’s now on sale. I’ve got a post coming out in a few hours time to make the announcement, but I really do appreciate you ordering a copy. I think you may be my very first customer of the paperback version 😀 Watch out for a competition I’m also announcing in conjunction with the launch of the book. I’ll be publishing details over the weekend.

Ah, that cat. I wonder if you’ll read it’s story again? 😀 The story has been changed a little, but I’m afraid the cat ends up…well, you know? 😱

Yes, I’m very excited about becoming a publish author – at last! I couldn’t quite believe seeing my name up there on Amazon. It’s a magical feeling. 🎅

Don’t forget to come back and leave some links and introduce yourself to all the other guests here. They’d be delighted to meet you.
      xx

  2. Thanks for the invite, Hugh! Hi to everyone else who is hanging out here in the comments section. I’m Kat and I write the blog, Dandelion Fuzz. I write about my family life, including what it’s like to have a nonbinary child, two little grandsons and whatever catches my fancy. I also like to take part in photography challenges. Here’s a link to my blog- https://katcarpita.wordpress.com/about/.
This is a great party, Hugh! You must be getting tired though. Being a big fan of your short stories, I’m looking forward to your book! I’ll be back to help clean up tomorrow. 🙂

    1. Hello, Kat. A big welcome to my blog party. It’s great to see you here.

Thank you for introducing yourself and for leaving the link to your about me page. Yes, this party has been going on since Saturday and there’s still another day and a half before it officially finishes. However, it’s all the lovely guests who have come here to the party that have helped keep this party going.

Please do mingle and introduce yourself to the other guests. There will be a few familiar faces, but also lots of new bloggers to meet.

      Have fun.😀

  3. Just ordered Debby’s new book right off your comment section, Hugh! Thanks for the great party. 🙂 Here is a link to Terri’s book review to show your guests. I’m looking for people who would let me post their book reviews of people other than themselves on my blog as a guest post. I’m struggling to read and write a review of one book a week and still breathe! They would get full credit, of course. http://wp.me/p7tP3I-ls

    1. That’s great, Marsha. Debby is a fantastic writer and I’m sure you’ll love her book. She’s got quite a few other books also available.

Thank you for the link to the review of Terri’s book and for the mention about looking for book reviews to do. I hope you’ll get some offers. If not, then I’ll certainly be hosting another blog party, where you can leave details, in the New Year.

    1. lol. Yes, I think Christoph has placed us right next to each other, Judith. As we’re near the door, make sure you bring something warm to put on. I’m so looking forward to Saturday. Already getting everything ready. Maybe I should bring some Mince Pies? 😇
