  1. Your post made me feel/admit I’m lazy… ironingboard to me is a filthy word, a chore to be left, a thing to have nightmares about. My husband asked if it was a new ornament or a piece of modern art… it has now been sitting ungracefully with a basket of ironing in the lounge for three weeks; waiting… waiting for me. 😯😒

      1. All this made me do it… my bag is empty I’ve yet to put( instruments of torture) board &iron away. But three hours sorted it. Feeling… *waves hands* like I was forced by my own conscience . “Humpf”

      2. It’s worked fine, Carol. I’ve had a WordPress email notification for your latest post and it’s showing only what it should. I’m going to try and attach a photo of the email I got, so you can see for yourself. Here goes.

If the photo has downloaded then you’ll see the ‘read more of this post’ at the bottom of the email. I now have to click on that link to read the whole post, which means visiting your blog. Before, I could read all of your posts just by reading the emails (and not having to visit your blog).

  3. Tillie Olsen wrote a short story called As I Stand Here Ironing. If you can find it, read it. A mother who has had “the phone call” from her daughter’s teacher (an Oh, God moment). She needs your view.
