Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – August 24, 2016

As I haven’t participated in any photo challenges lately, here are some photos for Cee’s ‘Which Way Photo Challenge.’

Cee says – This challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

So, how do you think I did?

I’ve just got my book back from Esther Newton, my Editor, so I’m going to be very quiet again over the next few weeks. I’ll try and drop by some of your blogs during tea and Jaffa Cakes breaks.

See you all again soon.

    1. Hi, Elizabeth. Great to see. Hope you had a great Summer and enjoyed your blogging break?
Yes, I’ve been on a blogging break (and still am) while getting my short story collection ready for publication. Still working hard on it, but almost finished now.

  1. Very nice photos, Hugh. If I were forced to pick favorite(s), it would probably be the castle shot and the (brick?) mountain trail one. Hope the edits are going wonderfully. Have a happy & creative week!

    1. Thanks, Leigh. I’ve been taking lots more photos which I will display on the blog once I’m back full time.
The editing is going well. I’m in the middle of putting right the mistakes my editor pointed out or asked me to make. Once it’s finished, the book will go back to her for its final check.

        1. I like working that way, too, which is probably why I get frustrated pretty frequently. This is only for myself; you seem lots more cheerful & resilient through trial and tribulation, Hugh! How do you do it?! 🙂

        2. I’m not sure, Leigh. When I’m not up against time I always stay relaxed and cheerful. If we get to November 30th and the book is still nowhere near ready, then I’ll be a completely different person. 😱
I’ve just finished rewriting The Truth App. It will be interesting to see what you think when all ten parts become one in the book.

  2. Great photos, Hugh. I definitely think you have met the challenge well. The first two are my favourites – the village street: we have nothing like that here; and the road by the (dilapidated) castle: nothing like that here either. They look exquisitely romantic.
Best wishes for the edit of your book. How exciting! Enjoy those Jaffa Cakes – not too many now!

    1. Thanks, Norah. I’ll have to take some photos for you. I’ve lacked in participating in these challenges since I started getting my book ready, but I will get back to them. We are so lucky to be living near places like these here in Wales. It truly is a beautiful place. There’s so much I’ve not snapped yet.
      Have a lovely weekend.

  3. Hmmm… I wonder where they lead? I love pictures like that, they always make me wonder where the road/ track/ path goes to. I think the same when I come across a little hidden gate or path when I’m out walking, but I’m rarely brave enough to try them alone. I’m such a coward! 😁

    1. Ooh! the stories there, Ali. Once my book is ready, I’m going to be taking a look at lots of photos across WordPress in the hope I’ll get some inspiration for new stories. I’ve six new ones in the bag so far – all for the book 2.

      1. Wow! You are well on your way to completing book 2, Hugh! You are amazing! All this creativity is bubbling up inside you and overflowing. I think someone left the tap on, Hugh!

  4. I love the long path towards the hills but I think the railway tracks capture the “which way” theme the best. Congrats on getting the edits back – I’ll be interested to hear your reactions to them. Can be daunting. Hope not!

    1. I’m quite nervous about them, Jan. 😀 I feel like I did when I was at school and my exam results were given to me in a plain brown envelope. That was a long time ago, but this has brought back that feeling.

    1. These challenges are all about fun, Tina, but I may get lucky and be featured when Cee announces the results. 😀
I’m very excited about the book. It’s been a lot of hard work, but I’ve enjoyed it very much.
