The Annual Bloggers Bash Awards – Voting Has Now Closed

That’s it! It’s over. Voting has now closed for this year’s Annual Bloggers Bash Awards (ABBAs).

Please do not try and vote, otherwise, you may be charged 26 packets of Oreos and your vote could end up in the bottom of my Aunt Doris’ handbag. She will then bombard you with recipes for flaky pastry and one lucky winner could end up helping her knit this year’s Christmas socks for yours truly.

While the votes are being counted by volunteers Myrtle Dove and Pearl White (from Aunt Doris’ knitting circle), please watch this very interesting video which features some of the Bloggers from last year’s First Annual Bloggers Bash.

Did you recognise any of them? Will you be in the lineup at this year’s event?

Okay, it’s time to get the results from Myrtle and Pearl.

What’s that Myrtle? You’ve still got thousands of votes to count? Oh dear! Bear with me Ladies and Gentlemen while I find out what’s going to happen now. I’m just getting somebody shouting down my earpiece.

“Yes…”

“Really?…”

“Two dozen, please…”

“No, I don’t believe it…”

“Get out of here…”

“How on earth did a bar of….”

“Oh! sorry…”

“Try rubbing it with toothpaste…”

“Yes, Okay, I’ll inform them.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, that was founder and “The Boss” of the Annual Bloggers Bash and Annual Bloggers Bash Awards, Sacha Black, who has informed me that because of the huge volume of votes cast in this year’s contest, the results will be announced at 17:30 (BST), on Saturday 11th June, over on her blog, as well as at the Bloggers Bash event.

Voting has now officially closed, and all it remains for me to do is to pass on my thanks from the committee to everyone that nominated and voted. Thank you all very much.

  2. Love the video of all the bloggers. Maybe one year I will be there too! Would be fun to meet everyone and go to London. I have never been there. Can I bring my husband too? Best of luck to all! Put in my votes awhile ago. 😃

      1. No, not me, I’m afraid, Janice. However, I don’t get them anymore because I’m positive that Twitter took the decision to stop sending them quite some time ago. I certainly no longer get them apart from when somebody starts to follow me on Twitter.

    1. I’m sure we will, Terri. There will be lots of posts planned with photos and videos of the day. Then it’s to work on next year’s Bash. Hopefully, you guys across the pond can organise something locally, although I do remember you going to a blogging event in Vegas a few months back.

    1. It was never planned to take a video at last year’s Bash, Erika, but once I lined all the bloggers up they were all great sports. I have a feeling that there will be a lot more work for me to do on Saturday when filming this year’s attendees. 🎥

    1. Hello, Willow. Thank you so much for your lovely words. It was a real pleasure to see so many of our wonderful blogging communities attend The Bloggers Bash. Even though most have never met any of their blogging communities, it was if we were all good long friends. As I was on duty videoing the event I didn’t get a chance to talk to everyone as much as I would have liked. However, the day was all about ensuring everyone had a great time and that they got to meet their online blogging friends. From the comments and posts I am reading, it seems to have worked very well.
I look forward to seeing you again at The Third Annual Bloggers Bash, on June 10th 2017.
My very best wishes to you.
      Hugh
      xx

P.S – I hope your son was not too taken aback that I asked if I could video him and to introduce himself and his blog. You came along just at the right time. 😃

    1. They did, Melinda, even though it took them over six cups of tea, the odd bottle of sherry, and lots of cucumber sandwiches to get through all the counting. Funny how nobody tried voting after my post went out. I think it must have been the thought of my Christmas socks that did the trick.
