Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 23 – Season

Tis the season to be… Okay, maybe I’m a little late to finish that old Saint Nick expression, but I think we can be jolly any old time we want to. No, you aren’t seeing things, this is indeed Ronovan, the younger, fluffier, and more harry version of Hugh.

This week Hugh is tidying up a few things around the old homestead so here I am baby, take me, take me by the hand. Hmm, breaking out in song lyrics already? This can’t be a good sign. How many more times do you think I’ll say old in this post? Let’s get to it. I’m your host this week for the photo challenge, and that means I was the picker of the 5 choices to share. I bet you thought with me I was going to say picker of the noses, right? No? Whew. My reputation has NOT preceded me after all.

Season can mean so many things. I’ve chosen a few to share here, but wrap your minds around it and see what you come up with.

First there is the Baseball Season. Yes, this is my boy “B” there in the outfield looking like a pro during a Little League game.

It was a lot of fun. Last week was my 2 year blog anniversary and during Writing 101 back then I wrote the short story My Ocean, My Lover, about how much I loved the ocean. And I did exactly what I said I did in the story, mostly. Except that was one cold freaking ocean.

Finally we have Honey Bee Season. This is a lovely flowering bush outside “Grandma’s” house, that’s where I live right now. Apparently it’s not wise for me to be alone because of the whole concussion thing, and I help take care of her at the same time. But this bee is getting busy with this bloom. This week your challenge is to interpret Season how you see fit. It could be a similar to what I’ve given examples of or it could be a seasoned dish of food, maybe with the recipe included in the post. Now I KNOW some of us would LOVE to have some recipes from around the world. Hugh’s Hungry Helpers Handouts. That’s what Hugh could call the collection. Maybe you have a favorite photo of a person that has season to them.

Want to join the fun? Here’s what you need to do.

1. Take or choose a photo that you’ve taken which shows Season in it.
2. Create a new post on your blog entitled “Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 23– “Season”
3. Add the photo(s) you have taken to the post and tell us a little about what you are showing.
4. Copy and paste your URL into the comments of this challenge post. The pingbacks are having a bit of a meltdown with some of the blogs lately, and to make doubly sure you are visited, do the copy and paste please.

Last week Hugh persuaded you all to go groupie with him. Well, not quite, but you all came up with some great entries for the word ‘group.’ I enjoyed some great photos with a lot of variety.gh.

Kim, at Ramblings of K, came up with a great one that reminds me of a family reunion I went to one time. This would have been us going off for a skinny dipping in the watering hole.

Jenny, at The 3rd Drawer Down gives us some dazzling color after that previous family photo from Kim.

Ron at Pressing into Solitude, I like the way his subjects draw the eye in one direction. Plus the white is very brilliant to see, and all together a peaceful see. This would make an awesome wallpaper for a computer.

Srivi at The Piscean me, a dangerous group if ever I saw one. Dancing the Tigdango. And how fortunate T was the letter of the A-Z challenge. (Which I did not participate in this year.)

Carol at Retired? No one told me!, I enjoyed this one a lot for the fun and sportsmanship involved. Always love young people pushing themselves to the limits.

Thank you to everyone that entered photos for the challenge.

Entries for this week’s challenge are open until Monday 2nd May 2016, and Hugh’ll showcase five entries when announcing the next challenge. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with. Have fun!

    1. Hi, Ruth. Pleased to say that Pingbacks are working again. 😀
Thank you for participating in this week’s photo challenge hosted by Ronovan. I’ll be back in full force on WordPress from tomorrow having now emptied the last of the removal boxes.
