Mind the Gap! That’s something I heard often when travelling on the London Underground. The gap being referred to was the sometimes rather large gap between the station platform and the entrance to the carriage. I remember looking down into that gap and wondering what monsters may be down there. *Stop right there, Hugh, this is not one of your horror short stories.*
Here’s a photo that has a happier gap in it.
Of course, there will have once been a wall where that gap now is, but on this particular sunny day, the gap revealed some blue sky and bits of fluffy white clouds.
This week your challenge is to take a photo of a gap. It could be a gap between two buildings or maybe that gap in your garden fence. Maybe there’s a gap that your pet dog squeezes through or a gap that a child has between two of their teeth.
Want to join the fun? Here’s what you need to do.
1. Take or choose a photo that you’ve taken which shows a gap in it.
2. Create a new post on your blog entitled “Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 19 – “Gap”
3. Add the photo(s) you have taken to the post and tell us a little about what you are showing.
4. Create a pingback to this post or leave a link to your post in the comments section below so that other participants can view the post.
Not sure how to create a pingback? Click here for a step by step guide on how to create one.
Last week I persuaded you all to go sweet on me. Well, not quite, but you all came up with some great entries for the word ‘sweet.’ I had a sugar rush by the end of viewing all the photos and here are the five I’ve chosen to highlight this week.
Marje, at Kyrosmagica, took a marvellous photo of something she was about to tuck into. I immediately wanted the same but could not for the life of me find any down here in Wales. Never mind, we do at least have lots of other treats that can satisfy my taste buds.
Carol, At Retired? No One Told Me! shows us a very sweet face that has been covered in something sweet. This photo just shouts out happiness and fun. Check it out and let Carol know if you agree with me.
The Only D800 In The Hameau, was another blogger who took a photo of a sweet face, only this time that sweet face had already tucked into something very sweet. You can tell from his face just how much he is enjoying every moment.
Hammad, at Blog Of Hammad Rais, shows off some colourful local sweets and a beautiful mouthwatering cake. I love the way some pineapple rings have been put to great use in creating a masterpiece.
Sue, at Daily Echo, published a very sweet post from her dog, Ani. Toby and I are big fans of Ani and she is one of the sweetest dogs you will find here on WordPress. Check out her post and I bet you’ll agree just how very sweet Ani is.
Thank you to everyone that entered photos for the challenge.
Entries for this week’s challenge are open until Monday 4th April 2016, and I’ll showcase five entries when announcing the next challenge. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with. Have fun!
