Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 15 – Under

Welcome back to my weekly photo challenge.

As many of you know, I’ve recently moved back to Wales. One of the reasons why we’ve moved back is that we really love the scenery. Take a look at this bridge we get to walk over every day when taking Toby out for his walk.

Hugh's Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 15 - Under

The river that runs under the bridge is called ‘The Usk.’ During the winter months, the river can get very high and cause flooding whilst in the Summer months, we can wander down to it so Toby can have a paddle and refreshing drink.

For this week’s challenge take a photo of something that is under something else. Maybe a person sat under a tree or sheltering under an umbrella from the rain or the sun? Dare you  show us what lurks under your sofa or under that big stone in your garden?

Want to join the fun? Here’s what you need to do.

1. Take or choose a photo that you’ve taken that shows an object, person or something that is under something else.
2. Create a new post on your blog entitled “Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 15 – “Under”
3. Add the photo(s) you have taken to the post and tell us a little about what you are showing.
4. Create a pingback to this post or leave a link to your post in the comments section below so that other participants can view your post.

Not sure how to create a pingback? Click here for a step by step guide on how to create one.

In last week’s challenge, I asked you to show me some photos of people or objects in the wrong position. This produced some great entries which gave me lots of laughs and I’ve chosen five entries to showcase. Please check them out and you’ll discover why I laughed so much at them.

First up we have Eileen, at The Reluctant Photographer, who showed us a few photos of when her husband unexpectedly got in the way. She also entered a photo of a pesky seagull who flew past at the wrong moment.

Geoff, at TanGental, came up with a photograph which reminded me to add some eggs to my shopping list. Those unsuspecting people in the photograph had no idea what they were letting themselves in for.

Dennis, at A Trivial Mind At Work, entered a number of photographs for the challenge but I particularly liked the last one which shows somebody sporting a new pair of ears. A very well placed photograph that had me laughing a lot.

Next, Marie, at The New 3 Rs: Retire, Recharge, Reconnect, had to point out to her sister that somebody seemed to be living in her hat. Not only that, but that person seems to be a nudist! Heaven forbid, I must find out where she bought that hat from.

Cathy, at Between The Lines, shows us a beautiful photo of her pet dog who is very clever because he has his own balancing act. I think Finn should join the audition for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent show. I’m sure he’d win the contest and become a dog superstar.

Thank you to everyone that entered photos for the challenge.

Entries for this week’s challenge are open until Monday 7th March 2016, and I’ll showcase five entries when announcing the next challenge. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with. Have fun!
