Thursday Doors – January 7th, 2016

When I came across this door, I could not resist taking a photo of it.

Why?  It immediately reminded me of Doctor Who’s TARDIS.  Yes, I’m a huge fan of the longest running science fiction TV series in the world, but I only wish that when I stepped through that door I found myself in the TARDIS rather than in a picture framing shop.

Maybe the picture framing shop was the inside of the TARDIS? Who knows?

      1. Well I almost asked if liked older doors with the windows above them (like the one here) we have these old style doors around our town- anyhow – guess what? Have not seen dr who so I cannot really appreciate this door for that connection – but some day I hope to check out the show – thanks for your reply and have a nice day

    1. Ah, I think that was Earls Court Tube Station. I remember the TARDIS being there, but never made it to the inside.
I’ve done the Dr.Who experience in Cardiff, but never been on the set. Wow! That must have been amazing.

    1. I think it was. However, the curly haired shop assistant with the Scottish accent would not let me push any of the knobs or buttons inside the place. However, he did ask if I would be interested in the position as his Assistant.

  1. Was there a door of a different color for The Middle Aged Police Station and yet again for The Relatively Young Police Station???

    1. I’m splitting my sides with laughter here, Erika. 🙂 You’ve never watched a single episode? Okay, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve never watched a single episode of ‘Game Of Thorns’ yet so many people seem to talk about it.

        1. See…. I hope you don’t fall from your chair from laughing… lol!!! But I saw each and every episode of “Dexter” and “24”….. please don’t tell me that you don’t know these series 😱

  2. I don’t even watch Doctor Who and that’s what I thought of! lol -I have added Doctor Who to my list to watch. My son and husband are both big fans and I look forward to seeing what all the hype is about! 🙂

      1. I might have to turn in my Anglophile card, but I haven’t watched Dr. Who yet. :/ I do however have a Weeping Angel Lego on my “wanted” minifigure list 😀

  3. Great shot Hugh. Sorry but I’m one of the 80% Phil was referring to 🙂 Not at all familiar with the Tardis or anything Dr. Who related, but that is a perfect beautifully rich blue.
