Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge. Help Me Raise £250 For The Dogs Trust

Welcome to this year’s Charity Christmas Tree Topper Photography Challenge.

Last year you helped me raise £250 for The Alzheimer’s Society by participating in my Christmas Tree Topper Photo challenge.  This year I’ve decided to run the same challenge again and to donate the money to The Dogs Trust.

Angela, my Christmas tree Angel, is out of hibernation and is now sitting on top of our Christmas tree.

However, this year she has been joined by Macy who is sitting on top of a smaller Christmas tree we have also put up.

But that’s not the end of the story because we also have two other Christmas trees up.

Here’s how you can all join in and help Angela, Macy, Toby and I raise £250 for The Dogs Trust.

1. Take a photo of what sits on top of your Christmas tree.
2. Create a new post on your blog entitled “Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge.”
3. Add the photo(s) you have taken to the post and tell us a little about what you are showing.
4. Create a pingback to this post or leave a link to your post in the comments section below so that other participants can view your post.

I will donate £1 to The Dogs Trust for every Christmas Tree Topper photo that is posted here on Planet Blog up to a maximum of £250.  The challenge is open until Tuesday 5th January 2016 and I will publish a post on Twelfth Night, January 6th, showcasing everybody who participated in the challenge and letting you all know how much we all managed to raise.

Whilst I will be making the donation, please do not hesitate in making your own donation to The Dogs Trust and let me know about it by leaving details in the comments section. There’s absolutely no pressure in making a donation but please do consider joining in the fun and showing us all what sits on top of your Christmas tree.  Please click on the link below to make any donations directly to The Dogs Trust.

The Dogs Trust

Why have I chosen The Dogs Trust?  Well, I actually asked this month’s guest blogger, Sally Cronin, to choose a charity, and I think she came up with a great choice.  Thank you, Sally.

Now on to last week’s challenge where I asked you to show me a photo of a funny or strange sign.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in the challenge, not only here on WordPress, but also on Instagram.  Once again you came up with some remarkable photos of signs, all of which gave me a good laugh.  As it’s Christmas I’ve decided to add links to everyone who participated in the challenge.  Please show your support by clicking on the link for each one and take a look at what they came up with.

I hope I’ve captured all the entries for this challenge.  Please let me know if I missed your entry and I will add it to the list.

I’m also including this post as part of the ‘Christmas Trees Around The World’ challenge, which my very good friend, Colleen, over at Silver Threading, is running. It’s a great fun challenge where we can all showcase our Christmas trees, so why not also link your post to Colleen’s challenge.

Hugh’s weekly photo challenge will be back in the New Year as soon as this special charity Christmas photo challenge has come to an end.

Merry Christmas Everyone. 🎅

    1. Hi Majka, no, not late at all. The challenge is open to everyone up to 5th January 2016.

Thank you so much for participating. You have helped us get nearer our target and your participation will help give a homeless dog a meal.

      Thank you so much.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    1. Thank you so much, Judy. I am so impressed by the tree but also the wonderful house. The Angel on top of the tree fits in so well.

Thank you for participating again. It all counts to helping us get nearer the target and helping another Homeless dog.

      Best wishes,
      Hugh

      1. I know. I couldn’t resist showing views of the house and other decorations. The gentleman pictured is a wonderful photographer and uses that eye in his arranging of the tree, mantel and general “decking” of the house. His wife gives him the full credit!

      2. I have one more made totally of dried red chili peppers. It was hard to photograph so the photos aren’t the best, but I’ll send it today anyway and get the doggies another bowl of Kibble!

      1. I’m there, Hugh, with a whole new tree topper for you! Just published it. Hope you find it through my link as my sister has me fully booked with little time for blogging! It’s a plot. Merry Xmas again.

      2. Good to hear, Judy. Glad you finally made it. I bet you were very tired by the time you got there. I have to say that I am so impressed with your Sister’s house – wow! It’s beautiful.
Have a great time. Merry Christmas to the whole family.

    1. Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for participating in my Christmas tree topper challenge in aid of the Dogs Trust charity. That’s a big mystery about what happened to your previous tree topper. Like you say, it will probably show up. I would not be surprised if it appears on the day the decorations all come down.

    1. Hi Charli, thank you so much for participating in my Christmas Tree Topper photography challenge, in aid of the The Dogs Trust charity.

I did try and leave a comment on your post, but I’m not sure it worked! Anyway, I wanted to say thank you very much for helping us get a little nearer our target and for helping in giving a homeless dog a meal.

I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and successful New Year.
      Seasons Greetings,
      Hugh 🎅
