Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge. Help Me Raise £250 For The Dogs Trust

Welcome to this year’s Charity Christmas Tree Topper Photography Challenge.

Last year you helped me raise £250 for The Alzheimer’s Society by participating in my Christmas Tree Topper Photo challenge.  This year I’ve decided to run the same challenge again and to donate the money to The Dogs Trust.

Angela, my Christmas tree Angel, is out of hibernation and is now sitting on top of our Christmas tree.

However, this year she has been joined by Macy who is sitting on top of a smaller Christmas tree we have also put up.

But that’s not the end of the story because we also have two other Christmas trees up.

Here’s how you can all join in and help Angela, Macy, Toby and I raise £250 for The Dogs Trust.

1. Take a photo of what sits on top of your Christmas tree.
2. Create a new post on your blog entitled “Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge.”
3. Add the photo(s) you have taken to the post and tell us a little about what you are showing.
4. Create a pingback to this post or leave a link to your post in the comments section below so that other participants can view your post.

I will donate £1 to The Dogs Trust for every Christmas Tree Topper photo that is posted here on Planet Blog up to a maximum of £250.  The challenge is open until Tuesday 5th January 2016 and I will publish a post on Twelfth Night, January 6th, showcasing everybody who participated in the challenge and letting you all know how much we all managed to raise.

Whilst I will be making the donation, please do not hesitate in making your own donation to The Dogs Trust and let me know about it by leaving details in the comments section. There’s absolutely no pressure in making a donation but please do consider joining in the fun and showing us all what sits on top of your Christmas tree.  Please click on the link below to make any donations directly to The Dogs Trust.

The Dogs Trust

Why have I chosen The Dogs Trust?  Well, I actually asked this month’s guest blogger, Sally Cronin, to choose a charity, and I think she came up with a great choice.  Thank you, Sally.

Now on to last week’s challenge where I asked you to show me a photo of a funny or strange sign.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in the challenge, not only here on WordPress, but also on Instagram.  Once again you came up with some remarkable photos of signs, all of which gave me a good laugh.  As it’s Christmas I’ve decided to add links to everyone who participated in the challenge.  Please show your support by clicking on the link for each one and take a look at what they came up with.

I hope I’ve captured all the entries for this challenge.  Please let me know if I missed your entry and I will add it to the list.

I’m also including this post as part of the ‘Christmas Trees Around The World’ challenge, which my very good friend, Colleen, over at Silver Threading, is running. It’s a great fun challenge where we can all showcase our Christmas trees, so why not also link your post to Colleen’s challenge.

Hugh’s weekly photo challenge will be back in the New Year as soon as this special charity Christmas photo challenge has come to an end.

Merry Christmas Everyone. 🎅

    1. Hi Dorne. No, you’re not late. You’ve come in with bags of time to spare. The challenge is open until Tuesday 5th Jan.

Thank you so much for participating. You’ve helped us get nearer our target and also helped give a homeless dog a meal. I really appreciate that very much.
      With my best wishes,
