Normal Service Will Be Resumed Soon

“What?”

Toby - Normal Service Will Be Resumed Soon!

Yes, as the title and Toby say, normal service will be resumed soon.

What is Hugh up to?

Well, this weekend we have another Wedding to attend, and next week we are moving house.  To top it all, from Wednesday 17th June, we are not going to have any broadband service until the following week!

“WHAT?  NO BROADBAND SERVICE? What are you going to do without broadband, Hugh?”

Yes, correct.  No broadband service.  Good old British Telecom are letting me down with no landline or broadband until the following week!  However, this gives me plenty of time to help with the unpacking in the new house.  It will also be a great chance to test how I cope without access to broadband.

“Can’t you go to an internet café, Hugh?”

Yes I could, but I’m going to challenge myself to see if I can live without access to broadband for a few days.  I’ve no idea what the results will be and whether I’ll turn into some kind of monster.  I may even rediscover what life was like for me before the days of broadband.

I look forward to catching up with you all again sometime during the week of 22nd June 2015.  Until then, have fun, and keep on blogging!

  1. You will be as crispy fresh as a set of bed sheets that has frolicked a full day on the washing line on a sunny spring day when you get back to your computer! Have a wonderful time Hugh! 🙂

    1. Dont tell anyone this Belinda but, although our home broadband was cut off yesterday, I seem to have found a way to still access a signal 🙂 It’s slow, but it seems to be working. So I just may be popping in form time to time until the phone company connect me up again in the new house 🙂

  2. Hope you can read this Hugh. Happened to me, an engineer told me about buying a dongle at PC World – you enter into a rolling contract you can cancel any time, and for about £5 per week you get internet via 3G I think it is. Ideal for an emergency – I needed because I work via internet.

    1. Geoffrey, thank you so much for the advice. I went out and purchased one, but the wifi signal where we are in Wales is very weak. Sometiomes it works, sometimes it does not. I’m grabbing hold of it as and when it works. I appricate you letting me know about this.

BT are trying to sort out my home phoneline and broadband but could take up to two weeks to sort out. I am due lots of compensation from them!
