Ronovan’s Weekly Haiku Challenge – Foul & Sweet

Something different for this week’s haiku challenge from Ronovan.  I’ve teamed up with Serins, another blogger, and together we have written two haikus.

Ronovanwrites Weekly Haiku Challenge

Serins - Serins SphereIf you don’t know Serins, then go check out her blog, now.  She lives in Namibia, on the south-west coast of Africa, and over a good few months we have become great blogging friends.  She’s the author of a fabulous series of blogging articles entitled The A to Z Lowdown on Blogging.  You can check out the first post of the series by clicking here, and from there you can follow the rest.  She hasn’t quite got to the end of the series yet but, so far, they have been a great series of articles covering all aspects of blogging.

Now on to the haikus.  This one is called Flight of Delight.

Flight of Delight

A mood as foul as

a bee without its honey

Flies towards sweetness

      1. That would be great 🙂

I was going to wish you a great time with your daughter and Grandchildren, tomorrow, just before they arrive, but have a great time with them Colleen, and enjoy the time away form the world of blogging as well. You deserve a break and a rest, and I’m sure you guys will have a great time.

  1. Another wonderful haiku, Hugh. Love how you incorporated both sad and happy bits, gelling the two together so nicely. Lovely flower photo too. Very cheery, apt for spring coming your way (I hope it is).

I had a bit of a look at Serin’s blog. Very interesting content about blogging, thank you for the introduction. Always so nice introducing us to bloggers we’ve never heard of, lovely. Have a good week ahead.

    1. Thanks, Mabel. It’s thanks to my haiku buddy, Serins, that we came up with this haiku, as well as the one over on her blog.

I took the photo last Summer in our garden. The flower is an Agapanthus, which seems to grow well in our garden. It is very pretty and comes in a few different colours. I managed to capture the bee looking for its nectar just at the right moment.

So pleased you have visited Serins’ blog. It’s always good to hear that people go and visit the blogs that I recommend. I’m sure you’ll enjoy her writing.
