  1. How lovely the turquoise water looks at Dorset. Interesting to see the beach in Wales too. I just love seeing photos from all over the world.

The Venice picture brings back memories – such a fabulous city. Thanks for sharing Hugh. great pics! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Claudette. Glad you like the new look ‘hughsviewsandnews’. Please do let me know if you think I need to make any further changes. I’m very happy to receive any feedback on the new look, especially to improve the blog. Blue is certainly my favourite colour as you so rightly spotted 🙂

    1. 🙂 Great, thanks Eloise. Yes, I worked on it over the weekend and I’m happy with the results. But do let me know if you think I need to move things around or add anything else as I am looking for any feedback, especially if you spot any mistakes. As we all know, a fresh pair of eyes can often add value to work. Hope the advice I gave Colleen on menus helps you as well.

    1. That’s so kind of you to say, thanks, Colleen. It took me most of the weekend to come up with the new blog look and I am still tinkering behind the scenes, but almost finished now. The menu took me the longest to do but I did follow what Ronovan said and about four and a half cups of tea and eight jammy dodgers later, success! I think it does depend on the theme you choose as to how the menu will look, but if you need any help then ask away. I’m happy to get stuck in and help where I can 🙂

        1. OK, I went to my dashboard, then appearances and then menus. I called my menu ‘menu 1’. On the left hand side you should see pages, links and categories each in their own box. Click on the little arrow in the categories box and it will open up. You should see a list of your categories and three tabs along the top named ‘most used, view all’ and ‘search’ I clicked the categories I wanted adding to my menu and then pressed ‘add to menu’. They then appeared in the menu bar on my blog once I refreshed the page.

Be careful to categorise each post correctly though, otherwise you could get an incorrect post appearing under the wrong menu heading (as I discovered).

          Hope that help 🙂
