Meet Hugh’s Views & News-Interview

What a great way to start a brand new week.
I’ve been interviewed by Ronovan, a fellow blogger, who I look up to as my teacher of all things blogging.
Please, not only check out my interview with Ronovan, but also check out his blog, because I can guarantee it will be one of the best blogs you will ever read.
Have a great week everyone.

I blog. Amazing discovering isn’t it? Being a blogger you also follow other bloggers. Sometimes you don’t know how you ended up making the acquaintance of someone, yes I can make that joke about myself but no one else can (amnesiac rights), but you are glad you did stumble upon someone. One such person grabbed my attention not only because he liked my attempts at writing, but one day a photograph he posted jumped out at me. No it did not literally leap from the page, at least I don’t think it did. Perhaps he has sort of 3D Mac power. Yes, I am afraid to say that he is one of . . . those people.

Thinking now perhaps it was 3D and knocked the memory out of me. I do have a habit of following it  hitting my head. But I do have the memory that this man…

  1. i think you did a lot of work on that post too, Hugh. Well done both of you. I loved Venice and was there only 2 days as I was on a tour around Italy. Venice was my favourite city in Italy and I really want to go back there too – so much to see and such an unusual place. I loved all the different water craft there. 🙂

    1. Thank you Maria. Ronovan did most of the work and, yes, he did a marvellous job in putting the interview together. I loved Venice. Such a beautiful and unusual city. We spent three days there and had a wonderful time, including visiting the basilica. I’d love to go back one day.

  2. Hugh your pictures are wonderful.. You remind me of wonderful cousin George Martin. I reblogged this interview on coveyview. Your comments on sharing (reblogging), blogging, commenting are so instructive. I hope many others will read this and be able to put into practice what you advise. One thing about addressing rude remarks from another reader on someone else’s page; recently someone I follow wrote a piece on another blogger who was harassing him. I expressed my sympathies. I immediately received a comment from the offending blogger justifying his slander, he even started a blog about the offended one. I unfriend one, and deleted the ugly comment of the other. Someone once told me, “Never get into a pissing contest with a skunk.” You made the right decision and so did the blogger who received the comment.

    1. What a great comment to wake up to this morning, Meredith. Thank you so much for your very kind comments. My week could not have started any better. Monday, the interview with Ronovan, Tuesday, another award nomination from him, and today, your lovely comments about me and my blog. Can it get any better? Thank you very much for reblogging the interview on Covey View. I hope some of what I have said in the interview with Ronovan, will help some of those who read it. I’m sorry to hear you encountered some not very nice comments from another blogger. I know it can be very upsetting sometimes, but I firmly believe in not getting involved with these people and to move on. Ronovan did a very good piece about Internet Trolls. I am not sure if you read it, but here’s the link to it.

Again, thank you so much for your very kind comments. Best wishes, Hugh

    1. Oh wow, another award from you, Ronovan. I must definitely be doing something right. I am very grateful, thank you so much. I will need to get on with my speech and get my dinner jacket dry-cleaned. I promise not to cry when giving that speech 🙂

  3. i absolutely loved the interview, kudos to both of you guys ^_^ it’s always great to feel like you know one of your favourite bloggers even better! loved your song choice by the way :3

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words, Miki. It was a real honour to have been asked by Ronovan to do the interview. He is certainly one of the very best bloggers I have encountered and gives so much support and time to other bloggers. He’s one of the best. I’m glad you like my song choice as well. It brings back so many happy memories for me and Bananarama are one of the all female British groups that have done so much for the music industry over the last 25 years. I hope one day they will be given a Brit award for what they have achieved and the way they have promoted British bands.
