Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Wood Or Season of Spring

This week’s Fun Foto Challenge from Cee is Wood, or the Season of Spring.

With Spring long gone in the UK, I had to look back at my photos and came up with this one.  For those of you who are “Toby” fans (he’s our Cardigan Welsh Corgi), he appears in this photo.  It was taken in our back garden at the house we lived in from 2001 until 2013, in London.

It was taken in the spring of 2012 when Toby was just 6 months old.  I’d wanted to take some pictures of our flowering Spring pots, but he also insisted on being in the photo.

The next picture was taken a few months ago while out on a walk with Toby at Stanmer Park, which is on the outskirts of Brighton.  I don’t know why, but what was left of this tree just fascinated me, so I had to take the picture.  I hope it stays there, but maybe somebody will use the wood one day?

    1. Thanks Pavanneh, its always good to hear from you. Thank you also for nominating me a few weeks ago for the “Very Inspiring Blogger” award. I gave you a mention in my recent post when accepting the award. Just sorry it was rather delayed in me accepting it.

    1. Toby says a big thank you. We actually moved to Brighton & Hove from London. It’s only 1 hour away by train to London but I much prefer Brighton & Hove as its by the sea and far less stressful than living in London. I lived in London for 27 years and loved it, but the time then came to say ‘goodbye’.

  1. Toby looks adorable posing amongst the flowers. He probably knew that. As for the old tree – the patterns on old wood and old trees always looks great. It’s that weathered look and sense of resilience.

This old tree looks better than a lot of modern sculptures I have seen. Well done, Hugh. 😊
